Days passed by and Hunter's relationship with Claire improved. Both of them begun having feelings for each other as they still bickered with each other.
Hunter came back from work in the evening and found Claire squatting in the kitchen, near the fridge.
"Hey, what's wrong with you?"
'I want to send you somewhere. "
"Where do you want to send me?"
"I'm on my menses. I need you to go and buy me sanitary towel. "
"You, you are sending me to go buy them. "
"Can you be more of a good boyfriend?"
Hunter puts on his hood and goes to the convenient store to buy the sanitary towels and also bought a hot water bag. As he was leaving, someone called his name. He turned to see Asher there.
"What do you want?" Hunter asked visibly irritated.
"Are you living with her?"
"Yes. Do you expect me to be living alone, and I have my own girlfriend?"
"I was joking about us breaking up. Can we be back together?" She said as she approached Hunter and held his hand. They stared at each other for a while and then Hunter removed her hand from his hand.
"I need you to leave me. She is waiting for these. " He said as he showed her the sanitary towels. "I'll be leaving. "
Hunter left her there. She looked at his retreating silhouette. She felt empty in her heart.
Hunter had gone back to the house and found Claire lying on the couch. She was sweating very much. Hunter panicked slightly. He called Hannah as he called Hannah as she filled the hot water bag with warm water. The phone rang and it was received on the third ring. He heard an annoyed voice on the other side.
"Why are you calling her at this time of the night?"
"Am I disrupting a moment between you two?"
"Yes. "
"Hand the phone to Hannah. "
"Give me the phone, babe."
"He is ruining our moment. "
"Roy, I don't like speaking twice, unfortunately. " Roy hands her the phone.
"What is it?'
"Claire, she seems to be in a lot of pain. "
Hannah looks at the date on her phone.
"I forgot about today. I am coming over there right now. "
"Are you leaving me here all alone?'
"I have to go to Claire's house right now. We will continue once I come back. "
Hunter hung up and then carried Claire to their room. He placed the hot water bag on her abdomen and massaged her stomach. Claire was still sweating.
"Are you in pain?"
''Have you called Hannah?"
"Yes. She has said she is on her way here. "
"Ok. " She closed her eyes afterwards.
Hunter looked at her with pitiful eyes. This was the first time she seemed very vulnerable. She looked pale even her usual pink lips were also pale.
Claire eventually slept. Hannah arrived and found Hunter massaging her.
"How is she?'
'She seems to be in a lot of pain. It tends to happen to her every time she is on her menses. She is always in a lot of pain. "
"It does not occur to all women, why her?"
