Chapter 1 - One Home, Aek Family

"Mother, Father, Tell Little Rin goodbye for me! I'll make sure to bring her all sorts of snacks when i come back!" Aek Ma-Ryeon waved his hand as he, for the first time, went out the humble abode of his mother, father, and younger sister to cultivate Martial Arts.

"Mm! You make sure to stay safe—mmph!" Hwa Yeon-Seol, his mother, suddenly whined under her breath, like holding back a very strange urge.

Hwa Yeon-Seol wasn't tall, but she possessed a quiet, refined beauty. Her three thousand strands of shiny long hair flowed down her back like dark silk, often loosely tied with simple ribbons. Her features were soft and delicate, with pale skin and seductive eyes that always seemed touched with desire. When she smiled, it was like blood corrupting a field of white roses—a fatal beauty.

"Don't worry, dear mother! When i become a Master renowned throughout the world, I'll tell all of them that my Mother was so beautiful her face alone could dismantle entire sects!" Aek Ma-Ryeon didn't seem to notice the strange sound his mother made as he turned back one last time and shouted to the direction his home was at.

"Hahahaha! You brat, you better not come back until you reach Grandmaster Realm! Your father was not at all inferior to one back then!" Aek Ma-Hyeok, his father, smiled while simultaneously caressing a pair of big "peaches".

Aek Ma-Hyeok's figure was your typical retired martial warrior—a tall, broad-shouldered man. His long black hair was usually tied behind his back, streaked faintly with silver at the temples. His face was angular with a very sharp jawline, just like Aek Ma-Ryeon. His eyes were bright and steady, unlikely to belong to an ordinary farmer in the countryside, the types of people whose eyes show tiredness and fatigue. Most strikingly, his pupils were a vivid red, contrary to his black iris—exactly like Aek Ma-Ryeon.

"You... Give me a break!" Aek Yeon-Seol slapped Aek Ma-Hyeok's hand that was holding her big "pair of peaches", though it could not hide the lingering blush on her face. It was clear she had experienced this many times before.

"Haha, Little Ryeon has grown big enough to travel the paths of murim himself. Surely we can share our emotions more often now?" Aek Ma-Hyeok grinned as he shared his unworldly thoughts, walking together with Hwa Yeon-Seol to their house.

Their house was medium-sized, with a dozen rooms for various purposes. Besides their house was a small farm and pigpen. However, the farm had no insects and pests, and the pigpen didn't reek of foul smelling odors.

Hwa Yeon-Seol clicked her tongue: "Not yet. Little Rin hasn't grown enough to travel with her brother. Besides, I'm definitely not letting her become a martial artist. She can eat all the delicacies she wants while her big brother becomes a strong martial warrior."

Hwa Yeon-Seol's eyes seemed to sparkle as she thought about his son becoming the strongest martial warrior in the future, declaring that whoever even thinks of harming his sister will get castrated and hang upside down for the world to see—although that's just her twisted imagination.

For them, the most important thing in their lives was family, because they were the type of people that would sacrifice the entire world for their loved ones. Of course, they would prioritize their son and daughter before anything else if they were to face a life-and death calamity.

"Mmm... Father... I didn't see Big Brother in the house, did big brother wake up early again?" Their beloved daughter, Aek Ryeon-Ah, finally woke up. She went near her father and tugged at his clothing, a small teddy bear held tightly beside her body.

If one would look closely, they would notice her little teddy bear had the same exact appearance as her older brother, even the bright red pupils replicated.

Aek Ryeon-Ah had a small, slender frame that made her look younger than her age. Her long dark hair was smooth and glossy, often tied loosely behind her shoulders, with a few strands always slipping free to frame her face. Her features were delicate and well-balanced. Paired with crystal-clear large eyes and a teddy bear—she looked childish, and in a good way. When she looked at someone, there was an innocent sincerity in her gaze, like a being untainted by the dark side of the world.

"Oh no!" The father and mother pair seemed to think of something, pausing for a flash before massaging their temples and letting out a sigh.

Hwa Yeon-Seol suddenly glanced at Aek Ma-Hyeok with a expression that said "You do it. Not me", while Aek Ma-Hyeok let out another heavy sigh after receiving that telepathic communication. He leaned down enough for Aek Ryeon-Ah's small frame to cup his face.

"Your brother..." Hwa Yeon-Seol immediately glanced at him again with a heavy glare when he paused his sentence.

"Eek! Little Rin... Your brother—he, he went out to... become a martial artist on the murim world..." Aek Ma-Hyeok gritted his teeth and slowly said in a gentle tone. He smiled at his daughter while putting his hands on her shoulders, like she was the only one in his world, just to try and appease this ticking bomb.

"Huh? Papa, what did you say? Big bro... He left me...?" Aek Ryeon-Ah's voice got gentler every word she released. By the end, it even sounded like she was talking to herself.

Aek Ryeon-Ah's eyes turned blurry and red, like tears were about to gush out from her crystal-clear eyes. Her lazy smile suddenly paused halfway, and a faint aura of sorrow suddenly emerged from her—it made one want to make a vow to cherish her forever.

She asked trembingly—"Big brother... How long is he leaving?"

Hwa Yeon-Seol walked to her daughter, shoved Aek Ma-Hyeok to the side, then leaning down and cupping her face with a beautiful smile. "Little Rin, your brother wants to cultivate Martial Arts so he can gain the power required to protect you and keep you safe forever. Big brother will be going out for a few years, but don't worry! Me and your father will send him messages from time to time. You can also say how much you miss him then." She explained in a gentle tone. She really didn't want this live C4 to explode, because everytime, it was almost impossible to calm her down without her brother.

As expected, when Aek Ryeon-Ah listened to her mother's words, she dropped her teddy bear and broke down in tears, sobbing loudly with occasional gasps for breath. She sat down on the ground with muffled breaths and held her teddy bear that fell to the ground while tears gushed out from her crystal-clear eyes tinged with a faint red. She spoke—"Big brother... Big brother doesn't love me anymore... Big brother left me for another woman... Wuwuwuwuwu..."

The father and mother pair once unleashed their various ultimate techniques filled with various promises and words of comfort to calm down this little bomb of theirs, making it clear this wasn't the first time they had done this before. Whenever her brother left to do something without telling her, she would always cry loudly until her brother comforted her with promises like always loving her forever and never going out without her permission before she could finally calm down.
