Chapter 2 — Husky Den
Aurelia looked at Lucian's face. At the same time, Lucian gazed back at her with those wide, puppy‑dog eyes. She knew it instantly: even if she decided to stay in the cave, this boy would sneak out to help whoever was screaming.
Aurelia "sigh...I raised you too good…"
She grabbed his trembling hand and stepped out of the cave.
Aurelia "Let's go."
They walked toward the direction of the voice.
Aurelia could feel Lucian's hand shaking, but he had no intention of stopping. She, however, kept glancing at the pale, silent forest. Every shadow whispered danger. A chill ran down her spine.
Her instincts screamed to turn back, but then she remembered the system. She spoke in her mind
Aurelia "Hey, glitchy… you still there?"

Aurelia "Okay… didn't you say you can create spells before?"
System [Of course! That's my specialty.]
Aurelia "Good. Give me some offensive spells. I feel like I'm walking into a wolf den."

Aurelia: "Affinity? What's that is that?"
She froze. A strange sensation washed over her, like someone calling her name from the sky. She looked up.
Even on Earth, she had never seen such a beautiful scene. Countless stars scattered across the heavens, brighter than any night she remembered. The darkness around the forest bent toward her, as if worshipping her presence. Dead grass at her feet began to stir, sprouting faint life. Tiny golden motes of light floated around her, weaving together with the bending shadows.
Aurelia didn't notice the changes. But Lucian did.

Aurelia looked at her son and smiled faintly.
Aurelia say "Yeah… huskies."
They walked again, Aurelia's fear shifting into a strange, desperate bravery. Passing trees and rocks, the silence broke once more.
Voice screaming "NO, PLEASEEE…!"
They ran toward the sound.
Aurelia and Lucian froze at the sight: a giant wolf tearing into an old man, blood painting the dirt in grotesque patterns like a madman's mural. Beside him, a trembling teenage girl — no older than sixteen — cowered, her eyes wide with terror.
Lucian covered his face with both hands.
Lucian whispering "Mom… don't look…"
Aurelia talk to system "How do I use those spells?"
System [Just say the names. That's enough.]
Aurelia "Okay."
System urgently say [Wait! Do it like this: first activate Night's Strength to double your power. Then use Dark Bullet.]
Aurelia followed the instructions. She activated Night's Strength — her body surged with raw energy, muscles tightening, senses sharpening. She raised her hand like a pistol, aimed at the wolf, and whispered:
Aurelia "Dark Bullet."
Darkness swirled around her fingertips, condensing into a black orb. It shot forward at lightning speed.
The wolf's head exploded like a rotten melon, spraying gore across the forest floor.
Silence. Even the forest seemed to hold its breath.
Lucian peeked through his fingers, trembling.
Lucianc"Mom… that was scary… but also kinda cool."

A faint, trembling voice broke the silence.
