Chapter 7 - Chapter 6 : Dawn of Blood and Shadow

"If the blood of one without sin is spilled,

before an heir of power,

and beside a servant of battle,

my shadows shall be summoned,

and the path to the return of destruction shall be opened."

(The condition for the breaking of the Arkam Covenant and the opening of its first seal.)

Ragen repeated the words, his voice heavy with disbelief…

Daemon's eyes widened, as if beholding a calamity, and he gasped aloud:

"Do you mean… the Seal of Existence has truly been opened? Could it—"

Ragen cut him off with harsh authority:

"We must execute this demoness before dawn, or the consequences will be catastrophic… And then, no one will stand against her."

Despite his rigid tone, a deep-seated fear lingered in Ragen's heart—a fear born the night he lost half his face to a power much like this.

Lilithia trembled, fury igniting in her eyes as thoughts clawed at her mind. She snapped:

"What are you saying? I didn't kill Villiam! That sorcerer was the one who attacked us…

Look at Villiam's blood! His heart hasn't stopped—he's still alive—"

Ragen let out a cold, bitter chuckle:

"What black blood are you talking about? Look before you… Villiam's blood is just like any other."

Lilithia's eyes widened, longing for the scene to dissolve into a mirage or vanish as a dream might, darkness fleeing when she opened her eyes to Villiam's shoulder.

Villiam's blood… normal. Not black.

Yet she was not imagining it; certainty gripped her mind about what she had just witnessed.

A violent pulse throbbed through Lilithia's chest, a cold tremor running along her limbs, as if the very ground beneath her tilted.

Daemon and Skyler bent down to examine, touching the blood…

It was ordinary. No scent, no trace of dark energy.

Skyler whispered, astonished:

"Impossible… it was—"

Ragen interjected with lethal coldness:

"Do not defend her. You too are accused of concealment and treason.

Her sword drips with his blood… one of my soldiers tested it. The result is clear: the blood belongs to Villiam."

Daemon and Skyler froze, their breaths caught in their throats.

Lilithia's body, however, was cloaked in darkness…

A hidden energy, unnoticed by all.

The soldiers instinctively stepped back—

Something dark was awakening within her.

The ground quivered faintly, the air contracting as if an invisible pressure crushed their chests.

Ragen shouted, his commands slicing through the tension:

"Lilithia is to be transferred to the Platform of Foundations immediately. Execution before sunrise.

Villiam's body… it will be burned."

The magical circles sealed around them as the soldiers readied themselves.

As they moved to drag Lilithia, darkness surged across the square—not ordinary Murk… a living shadow that seemed to breathe.

Bodies shivered, breaths hitched,Daemon scanned the scene, breathless:

"What is happening? This energy… this darkness… hasn't appeared since the fall of the Arkam era!"

___

Deep in the forest, where Yun pressed into the endless expanse…

Commander Kailena stood resolute, her grip tight on her sword as she faced Draven.

She recoiled a step as he emerged—

An old memory pierced her heart, resurrected by the sight; her eyes blazed with anger, her rose-colored aura flaring, illuminating the clearing.

Her veins pulsed like molten pink magma on the brink of eruption.

Draven knew this rage well…

He had been its cause, once.

His gaze pierced her, dark mockery gleaming as he spoke in a cold, playful tone:

"It's been a long time… did you miss me?"

She screamed, fury slicing through her voice:

"Have you forgotten what you did a thousand years ago?"

He advanced slowly, a smile sharp as a blade curling across his lips:

"How could I forget? That night… it is why my power now surpasses anything you can imagine.

And the best part? It still stirs your emotions… and that makes me stronger."

His smile darkened further, a lethal glint dancing in his eyes:

"Don't worry… I won't waste my energy on you.

This honor… I'll leave to a friend."

Then he turned, swallowed by the shadows, as if the forest itself had claimed him.

Kailena remained steadfast…

Suddenly, a small black hole opened in the air around her—silent, deceptive, almost imperceptible—

From behind, sharp, dark thorns shot forth, attempting to pierce her.

With uncanny reflexes, she spun, deflecting the attack with her sword and whispering:

"Stone Art – Ruby Stone – Level 6 : Gem Mirror"

The thorns ricocheted toward the black hole, doubling their force—

Yet one struck her right foot.

She stared at the wound…

Feeling the slow coagulation seep into her blood :

"These thorns… they freeze my blood and restrict my movement.

I must avoid them."

From within the hole, the shadow took shape…

Until it became a man with red hair.

Kaguchi.

A terrifying smile spread across his face:

"A good defense… it seems I must commend you."

Suddenly, his shadow contorted into a nightmarish, boneless entity, its form shifting endlessly.

Kaguchi whispered:

"Coincraft – Shadowblood Weave"

The dark membrane wrapped around Kailena, choking her—

She tried to resist, but her paralyzed foot betrayed her.

She gripped her sword tightly and murmured:

"Stone Art – Ruby Stone – Level 2 – Facets Edge"

Sharp, luminous edges ignited around the blade.

She raised it with all her strength and struck—

But the membrane held fast.

At that moment, a sharp, bloody blade formed from Kaguchi's hand, a droplet of blood dangling.

He whispered:

"Coincraft – Blood Seed"

The blade shot forward with lethal speed…

Plunging into Yun's body.

A scream tore through the forest.

Yun could not move, exhausted from Draven's prior attack, pain ravaging him mercilessly.

Kaguchi smiled, calm yet terrifying:

"I am not here to kill the likes of you…

I am here for the Black Stone Seal."

His eyes wild as Yun's blood blackened and reeked of decay.

He spoke lowly:

"Your body is mine now… hand over the seal."

Kailena tried to shatter the membrane with all her might, but its resilience was terrifying.

Yun moved…

Not by his own will.

Voices, spells, and dark whispers filled his mind.

His consciousness waned… as his body advanced.

His hand reached for the seal.

It drew closer…

closer…

And at the last moment—

Kailena struck with a lightning-fast attack, slicing through Kaguchi's shadow-formed hand.

His hand fell— but it did not disappear.

It began to tremble.

Then— it exploded.

Black blood shot out in every direction, as if it were a living creature searching for something to devour.

It coated Kaelina's face, ran down her neck, and slipped into her mouth with her breaths.

She tasted something bitter…

the taste of living decay.

Her chest suddenly constricted, choking her.

Her heart skipped for a single beat—a long beat that almost became her last.
