Chapter 1 - Foreword

I dreamt that I was dead.

I dreamt that I opened my eyes and saw tree branches stretched out to the sky, and between them I could see small patches of the white sky.

When I perceived my body, I moved my arms and legs and got up from the ground where I lay. I recognized that I was in the forest and ran, searching for the exit. My legs began to give way; my knees buckled on their own, and my hands were useless to brace them and prevent my face from being hurt by the earth. I was paralyzed, I felt afraid, but there was no breathing, not a single breath or sigh. Then a large white horse approached and took my soul. At that moment, I saw my body on the ground, and the horse stood on its hind legs and grunted with a horse's voice, but then it sounded like the cry of a hawk. Afterward, a faceless creature with a human appearance came and took my form and extended its hand. I touched its hand, and my soul was in that body, my soul was trapped in that body, then the body ate my body that was lying on the ground and wore its clothes and shoes, but I didn't feel, I didn't feel the taste of my flesh and the texture of the fabric on my skin, then the horse growled again like a horse and like a hawk and the body roared an indescribable roar, it had no resemblance to any animal that roared, then a black wolf came and bit the horse's neck and the skin of the horse's neck split in two and a jet of blood wet the ground on which the body was standing, but the horse did not move.

The body took the horse's blood, I didn't taste it either; then the wolf climbed onto the white horse and the wounds from the wolf's claws and the opening in the white horse's skin healed, then the horse growled like a wolf and sang like a hawk and the wolf howled, then I felt the breeze on my face and my hands and the cold on my feet, I perceived the body and I controlled it and a great breeze came and made the white horse and the wolf and the blood that remained on the ground vanish like dust, and I saw the sky and it was already night, and I heard echoes of voices that said my name, then the body that was already my body fell to the ground and I closed my eyes.
