"The engagement ceremony was good wasn't it?" Hoshi's dad asked his wife and son while enjoying the ride back to Home from the passenger seat and hoshi's mom sitting at the back seat enjoying the outer view from the window and responded in a cheerful hum.
"And the jeons were nice too weren't they?" His father said enthusiasticly and Mrs. Kwon hummed texting with her daughter to check how is she doing alone at home. Hoshi remained silent throughout the entire conversation focused on driving which was harder than expected as his mind was continuously wondering off to negative thoughts.
"How did your conversation with Ha-rin went, soonyoung?" Hoshi's mother looked up through the phone towards the rear image to see hoshi's reaction to his father's question to which Hoshi replied shortly with an serious tone "fine"
Exchanging side glances with each other hoshi's parents went silent wandering what happens with their son as he is not acting in his usual manner but they decided to not to speak any further and create distraction for the younger male while he is driving and decided to talk about it once they reach home.
Finally after a long ride hoshi and his parents finally reached home and hoshi showed them their room asking them to freshen up and went back to his own room to do the same, looking at his reflection in the bathroom mirror taking deep breath to calm his nerves down.
Once coming out of the room hoshi saw his Father examining the kitchen and his mother sitting on the couch talking to hoshi's sister taking a deep breath hoshi moved toward his mom and sat right beside her snuggling to her like a baby making his mom smile softly.
Once hanging out the call hoshi's mom put her phone aside and gently stroke her son's head making hoshi snuggle to her even more "what's wrong soonyoung-ah?"
Hoshi's mom ask in the most gentle and motherly tone filled with utmost care, love and affection causing hoshi to sink in a deep breath to stop himself from shedding tear because of the warmth his mother is providing him.
"Aigoo, we need to buy---" Hoshi's Father stopped his sentence midway while making his way to his wife and son when his lady love gave him a serious look asking him to keep quiet for once.
understanding the assignment really well he slowly made his way towards both of them and sat on the other side of hoshi living a very small gap between them even after having so much place to sit on the couch.
"Is there something bothering you?" Hoshi's mother asked again maintaing the same time as earlier and hoshi's father looked towards his son with a concerning look and hoshi nodded slowly while still snuggling to his mother's chest.
"There is something I need to tell you.....about me" hoshi said in a low tone filled his fear and his parents sensed it really well sharing a worried look with each other but before any of them could say anz further hoshi slowly looked up to his mother and then adjust his position sitting properly to see both of his parents.
"What is it?" Hoshi's Father who is always in his happy-go-lucky bubbly self used a serious yet gentle tone for the first time in a very long time to which Hoshi looked down at his down fidgeting with his finger not knowing how to say it, right now he could feel how all the other queer person would have feel while coming out to their parents and the world.
He could now imagine what yuta must have gone through when his parents would had came to know about his sexuality, the feeling is unexplainable in word it can only be imagined and sensed.
Hoshi who never in his life has thought that he would turn to be one of the member of pride family until he met yuta.
Is now here, accepting his sexuality and ready to enter a new World that is different from what many people hope for all because his love for that one Japanese male who even though in not present here physically but just his mere thought made hoshi regain his courage.
Sinking a final breath in hoshi looked up from his hand looking at the wall in front of him while speaking "I am dating someone."
said hoshi in a serious tone and his parents took a moment of relief exchanging happy looks with each other thinking that perhaps that's why hoshi was feeling low all this time thinking that his parents won't approve of him already finding himself a partner without them Knowing.
"And it's a man." But before his parents could say something hoshi said it causing his parents to stare at him dumbstruck for a couple of good seconds.
"What did you said?" Hoshi's mother asked with a shock visible both in her voice tone and facial expressions and so is on his father's.
Sensing that his fear is again trying to get control of him, hoshi shook his head lightly and slowly turn his head towards his mom, "I don't know when that happen and how did it happened but that's the truth mom. I have fallen in love with a male?"
Listening to hoshi staring at him with too many questions written on their face hoshi's parents don't know what to say causing a heavy silence fall between the three of them.
"Who's that man?" Hoshi's mother spoke up first breaking the silence looking at hoshi with a dead pan expression on, causing hoshi to look away from her as he can't bear such a cold look coming from his mother.
"Yuta, he is from Japan and has been living in Korea for years now and has shifted here two years ago." Hoshi said and this time his father speak up.
"When did it all began?"
Hoshi's Father asked maintaing the same seriousness in his voice as earlier and hoshi carefully choosing his word start telling his parents the entire story from the beginning of how he first met yuta to up until now and his parents listened to him carefully with an unreadable expression on.
Once hoshi finished telling them everything hoshi's mother looked away hiding her face in the palm of her hand trying not to say something that might made the situation worse while processing everything that her son had said so far and hoshi's father leaned back on the couch staring down at the floor with arms cross over his chest.
"I am sorry to disappoint you both" hoshi said and chocked on his voice as tears start rolling down his cheeks seeing his parents like that, always been welcomed by warmth and love and support from his parents.
who never for once discouraged hoshi for anything and showing support to all his dreams hoshi always feel grateful to have such parents and wanted nothing else but just to make them feel happy and proud on their son and never giving them any pain that's what hoshi always wished but right now he is feeling that everything is falling apart.
He never have expected that life would take such a drastic turn like this and he would face himself in such situation but here he is, completely nerve-wrecked, hurt, and fearful of the thought that his parents will start hating on him, they might cut ties with him and the eyes that have always welcomed him with love will turn into a cold gaze filled with hatred and disgust.
Hearing hoshi sobbing beside them hoshi's parents quickly shift to him with worried eyes feeling heart broken seeing their son in such state, "oh son! Don't cry, we are not disappointed in you at all soonyoung-ah"
hoshi's mother said stroking hoshi's head gently trying to calm him down and hoshi's father stood up and rushed to the kitchen to grab a glass of water hurrying back to his crying son.
"I know this is not what y-ou guys have e-xpect-ed me to be...I mys-elf don't know h-ow this happened but... Mom-dad trust me, i never wanted to disappoint you g-uys"
hoshi managed to say it all the way to this and chocked heavily coughing having a difficult time inhaling oxygen causing his parents to panick they both tried to calm hoshi down with his father asking hoshi to take deep breath and after few minute of stuggle hoshi somehow managed his comopure while still sobbing once in a while.
Taking a deep breath in of relaxation hoshi's father spoke up "we are not at all disappointed in you ok. You are our son soonyoung, why would we be disappointed in you for choosing whom you want to love." Hoshi's Father said in a calming tone with his mother nodding to every word giving a soft smile to her son while patting her head softly.
"We are just surprised and a bit worried because you know same-sex relationships are not too acceptable in Korea, things will get harder for you son, when people might come to know about it" hoshi's mother reason out her worries and hoshi nodded while looking up to catch a breath before turning to face her mother.
"I know mom and I am ready to deal with anything if you guys support me" hoshi's said with pleading eyes and his parents saw a flashback on younger hoshi in what he just said, they remember this is what hoshi has said back when he wanted to came to Korea and pursue his career as a trainee dancer ready to leave all his comfort behind just to chase his dreams.
Those were the exact same word hoshi has said to them years ago and he made it causing his parents to hold even a more stronger firm in their son's word and hearing this once again from him his parents know hoshi is dead serious about it and won't back away from any problem if he have made up his mind.
"And what about that guy?" Hoshi turned to face his father who was looking at him with concern and doubt "is he also that serious about you about this.... relationship? Will he fight with the world for you and your happiness too?" Hoshi's Father asked and saw a firm believe and confidence shining brightly in his eyes and he unconsciously sat straight and nodded in yes "he will."
"Then I want to meet him. Call him on breakfast tommorow."

Sitting in front of hoshi's parents at the dining table looking all calm and collected yuta could swear his heart pumping inside his heart out of nervousness that he haven't felt in so long but he had to put on his calm and composed self to the play otherwise hoshi might start worrying even more than he is right now as the Korean male is holding yuta's hand under the table with a strong grip fearing to let it go while looking up at his parents.
"Let's eat first" hoshi's father said in a low but commanding tone and yuta and hoshi helped themselves with the food finally letting go of each other's hand, to say that's the situation wasn't tense would be wrong, each and everyone here knows why they are gathered here, with the two young man depended on their luck and on hoshi's parents decision that will decide what their future will hold.
Having no guts to eat at all, yet all four of them were forced to eat and finish their food because of their moral teachings, eating in silence hoshi suddenly scrunched his nose in disgust as he realised his food wasn't as salty as he like it, staring at his mother in confusion as to how come her mother failed to notice it, this has never happened before but didn't said anything as things are too messy right now to even start discussing something this random.
Swolling his food down through his gut forcefully hoshi visibly became uneasy but before the male put himself in more tough spot yuta provided him with the salt that was placed on the dinning table catching hoshi's parents attention but he don't care and caughting the Korean male visibly off guard but he gladly accepted it giving yuta a thankful look.
"Does your parents know about you? About this relationship?" Asked hoshi's dad to which Hoshi nervously looked at yuta but the Japanese give him a small smile before turning to face hoshi's dad.
"They do know about me. But they don't know anything about hoshi and I" yuta told them receiving a questionable look from Hoshi's parents but before they could ask anything else yuta himself told them everything in a summarised way letting them know what kind of equation he share with his parents causing concern to form at hoshi's parents face.
"Are you serious about soonyoung?" This time Hoshi's mother asked after a short silence causing all eyes to fall in yuta who without any hesitation nodded his head in Yes causing hoshi to smile.
"Things won't be easy after this. And I hope you both are aware of this fact, i don't know about you but our son in really a sensitive and pure soul and I don't want him to go through any pain because of anyone. What if you back away the moment he needs you the most? Are you really that willing to share this path with him? If not then you better stop because I won't tolerate my son going through any heartbreak because of anyone" hoshi's father said in the most threatening voice ever causing chills to run down through hoshi as he has never seen his dad speaking in such tone but he get his concerns really well and everything that he has said was something that going across his mother's and his mind and hoshi's dad just said it in the most straightforward way possible.
Yuta first took his time to process each and every word said by hoshi's father showing no fear and then looked at hoshi for a few second staring at him as if he is the only person matters to him which ofcourse is true and without wasting any further moment yuta took a deep breath and looked back at hoshi's Father with Nothing but sincerity and truth filled in his eyes.
"I am willing to go on any path with your son being beside me sir. I don't know if you find any of my word sincere or not but I assure you I'll never leave him alone no matter what situation arise. I love him more than I can describe in words and I could never be more sure than this that yes I am willing to do anything for him." Yuta said with utmost sincerity moving everyone present in the room with his genuineness and hoshi could feel tears whelming up in his eyes once again.
when Yuta hold his hand gently, looking at him smiling as if a burden has been put off from his shoulder that he never knew was there, there was something in this moment that felt so fulfilling to both of them and that required no opinion or decision of anyone else as they knew they have found each other.
Noticing the scene unfolding hoshi's parents aren't stupid to not being able to differentiate between true love or fake one and even though they are afraid for the future for their son but seeing yuta and hoshi like this they can feel the sincerity in their love and they know they can't stop it.
Definitely it's not easy for them to accept the fact that their son like guys and they know that the world won't accept it at all and will question their choice of approving this relationship but they know better to suport their son rather than forcing him to do something he don't want to and ruining their relationship just like how yuta's parents had did.
"Yuta" both the young males came out of their world hearing to hoshi's mom who for the first time smiled at the Japanese and yuta could find resemblance between her and hoshi's smile now knowing well from whom his boyfriend has got such a beautiful smile.
"Please take care of our son" she said extending her hand towards yuta putting her hand on top of his catching Yuta off-guard but he didn't reacted negatively but smiled shyly while nodding in yes and hoshi's dad too finally let go off his scary demeanour and smiled like he ajways use to ans put his hand on top of his wife's.
"And now you are the part of the family"
