Synopsis
When the world fails to defend itself, monsters Themselves steps in. An abyssal breach shatters reality overnight, rewriting Earth under the cold authority of the Infinite Record. Cities collapse into chaos, humanity is ranked, measured, and pushed into forced evolution. Survival is no longer a right. It’s a competition. Inside a federal prison, Xavier Crownheart witnesses the end of the old world from behind iron bars. While others scream, run, or die, he adapts. The rules are cruel, the system dishonest, and power comes at a cost no one explains. As monsters evolve, rankings shift, and unseen entities move behind the scenes, Xavier realizes a terrifying truth: the Record is not humanity’s savior… and the Abyss may not be its greatest enemy. In a world where strength is monitored, choices are overridden, and even free will can be stolen, one question matters above all: Who is really in control of this game? And what happens when the system itself makes a mistake?

[You may now access your status window at will.]

In one of the federal prisons, Xavier was lying on the steel bed, when out of nowhere his vision was filled with multiple blue windows, completely blocking his vision.

"What is this..?" He questioned out loud, however before he could make sense of the situation, suddenly a violent tremor caused the entire room to shake violently, Xavier felt as if he was punched in the chest throwing air out of his lungs, a pained expression on his face.

The pained forced him to accept the reality, the world had changed. If the pain wasn't enough, the scream of prisoners coming from outside, left no doubts in his mind.

Instantly Xavier accepted reality as it was, without wasting any time.

Some of you might say the world around him was completely flipped over, how can he accept such drastic changes so easily. Well, the answer was quite simple…. that's just how he was, ever since Xavier was young, his thinking was slightly twisted, he believed that human mind was only capable of imagining only those scenarios which already existed in reality, In simple terms the human mind was not capable of imagining things which did not exist.

It might not have happened in this reality but in some reality, everything that a human imagined existed, doesn't matter whether good or bad.

Your proposed crush and she humiliated you in front of the whole class, definitely happened.

Your loyal partner cheated on you…

Ever imagined winning a billion dollar lottery.. You definitely won but not in this reality.

As such, the mind was like a multidimensional search engine that weaved through all the possibilities and randomly showed you glimpses from other dimensions.

Crazy right? But that's just who Xavier was!

Meanwhile even though the chaos outside was great, Xavier didn't immediately rush to take a look, instead he chose to follow the instruction of the Infinite Record and silently recited in his heart. "Status"

Following this, the multiple blue windows floating in front of his retina disappeared and a singular semi-transparent window appeared in its place.

Freely distributable stats – 0]

"Hmmm.. not surprising..my physical stats are well over the average humans.."

Xavier wasn't surprised by his stats considering the fact he used to play soccer ever since he was a kid, only stopped playing once he was thrown in the prison on false charges.

Not just that he was also a regular gym goer as well.

"So the world turned into a game.." Xavier didn't panic as he already imagined this scenario countless times, his life was already bad as it could be, nothing else could make it worse.

Before he could continue thinking, several terrified screams came from the hallway followed by multiple gunshots one after the other.

"Dammn!! Bullets are ineffective against these creatures..."

"Someone calls for backup, there are zombies, prisoners are turning into zombies.."

An officer said in a panicked voice as he pointed the muzzle at the nearest zombie, shooting the head of his former fellow colleague.

Bang! Blood splashed everywhere, painting the plain white walls crimson.

Outside it was absolute chaos, As it was launch time most of the inmates were in the cafeteria, with only a rare few like Xavier who were in their cell due to various reasons.

"Zombies?" Although he was already mentally prepared, Xavier still had to take a look once more to make sure there were indeed zombies outside, his eyes were not playing tricks. Most of them former prisoners as evidenced by their orange uniform while there were also few officers who had also turned into walking dead.

Just one look, and Xavier instinctively walked backwards.

The world had turned into a game then he could grow stronger by killing these zombies.

At that thought, he shook his head, "Although it is true I might grow stronger but the risk is too much, as soon as I step out of my cell, zombies will outnumber me..First I will have to wait and gather as much information as possible.."

Xavier's eyes flickered with intelligence as he calmly analyzed the situation and thought of countless ways to ensure his survival.

Just then his gaze moved toward the thin iron bar that prevented him from escaping but now these same bars protected him.

Still given the extraordinary situation, Xavier wasn't sure if these thin iron bars would be able to protect him from the chaos outside.

Suddenly he had an idea, moving at incredibly fast speed, he grabbed the small iron bed and raised it upwards to shield himself from any attack, the iron bed easily covered the entire cell, allowing Xavier to hide behind it.

Once made sure he was in a relatively safe position, he looked outside, to assess the changing situation.

Just then he heard several horrified screams, "Oh my god what is this monster.."

"Somebody save me.."

Xavier didn't know who it was, but their scream was abruptly cut midway, whatever that terrified the man didn't let him finish.

Bang! Bang! Multiple gunshot resounded, then the sound of something cutting through the air echoed and several headless bodies fell to the ground.

Xavier's heart chilled as he watched the scene playing in front of his eyes.

A zombie holding two glowing swords moved like an expert martial artist, separating anything that blocked its path.

Hiss! Xavier immediately ducked, worried that the monster might notice him.

Maybe it was this sudden movement or something else, but the eyes of the zombie holding the glowing sword turned toward Xavier cell.

For a moment the corridor outside fell into a chilling silence only to be broken by the sound of rhythmic footsteps.
