Chapter 21 - 021 The Prince's Bond

Watching the scene unfold before him, Jon felt like he was losing his mind.

If he could regain control of his body right now and make the System appear in front of him, the first thing he would do wouldn't be to dodge Joffrey's sword, but to snatch the Crown Prince's weapon and turn around to hack this stubborn System to death.

While Jon was struggling with the System, His Royal Highness finally lost his patience. After a cold laugh, he raised his longsword high above his head and brought it down without hesitation.

Feeling the wind of the blade coming toward him, Jon's vision suddenly slowed down.

In the next moment, a startled cry rang in his ear.

"No!"

Accompanying the voice was a slender figure throwing herself in front of him.

Watching the sharp blade descend inch by inch, if nothing unexpected happened, it would sever Sansa's arm, then cut into her neck and shoulder.

Jon's mind flashed back to the distance Sansa had always kept from him, including the title "half-brother," which the girl had now tossed aside.

Perhaps his concentrated will was too strong, or perhaps the System changed its mind.

In any case, the moment the transmigrator sprang to his feet, he threw a punch.

At the very last second, Jon regained control of his body and, like a blur, smashed Joffrey to the ground.

However, his violent assault seemed hard for Joffrey to accept. The Prince clutched his struck chin, unable to sit up for a long time.

But soon, the Crown Prince reacted and let out a shriek that sounded almost like a woman's.

"Guards? Guards! Kill him for me!"

However, after witnessing the chopping-vegetable-like slaughter and abuse just now, the King's guards first looked at their companions lying on the ground, dead or alive, and then at the King's squire who always shared fine wine and food with them. No one drew their weapon.

Seeing this, Joffrey flew into a rage, his face twisted as he issued the order again.

"Damn it! What are you staring at? In the name of the Protector of the Realm, I command you to kill this bastard! Now! Immediately! Right now!"

Unfortunately, apart from the two Red Cloaks who were originally just for show, no one else had the will to fight for the Crown Prince.

The two Red Cloaks drew their longswords, looked at each other, and had no choice but to close in on Jon.

Seeing two enemies surrounding him from left and right, Jon made up his mind instantly.

Even if he chose to back down now, by the time Lord Eddard learned the whole story, he would only be told one sentence: "Your bastard was executed for offending the Crown Prince."

As for Robert, he would probably just comfort Ned at most, not caring about a bastard at all.

Precisely because he foresaw this, the transmigrator didn't hesitate at all. He kicked Joffrey over, snatched his longsword, and turned to face the two Red Cloaks.

Against these elite Lannister guards, even one-on-one, Jon wasn't sure of victory.

Of course, he could choose to take Joffrey hostage, but the consequence would be fleeing to Essos as a fugitive forever.

Therefore, the conflict had to be controlled within a certain range, and the threat of this little lunatic had to be dealt with completely right here.

Then, looking at the two fully armored Red Cloaks, Snow put his fingers to his lips and let out a sharp whistle.

Accompanied by the piercing sound, before anyone could wonder what was happening, a snow-white figure darted out and clamped its jaws onto a Red Cloak's throat.

By the time the other Red Cloak reacted, Jon had already flashed forward, raising his longsword high and chopping straight at the man's face.

With a loud CLANG, Jon successfully used his strength to overpower the Red Cloak, slowly pushing the blade toward the opponent's neck.

Such a direct and brutal fighting style was clearly not for dueling, but intended to kill.

Even though the Red Cloak guessed Jon's intent, he couldn't push Snow away. After exhausting his strength, his throat was slit through the gap in his armor by the longsword, following his companion back to the embrace of the Seven.

After that, Jon didn't stop there. He kicked over Joffrey, who had quietly crawled away, and drove the longsword into the ground right next to the blond boy's cheek.

Then, the transmigrator revealed a smile like a loving father.

"Get this straight, you little bastard. My life is cheap, but I don't mind dragging a noble down with me. If you dare to look for trouble later, Ghost won't mind having you for dinner!"

As he said this, Jon tilted his head toward Ghost.

The highly intelligent companion immediately pounced in front of Joffrey. Saliva and blood from its sharp white teeth dripped slowly onto the Prince's face.

At this moment, Joffrey knew better than anyone that this beast would tear out his throat without hesitation, just like that unlucky Red Cloak.

Looking at the monster right in front of his face, and then at its tyrannical master, the Crown Prince collapsed on the ground finally remembered that this bastard seemed to have defeated his sworn shield, the Hound.

Thinking of Sandor's strength, and then looking at the longsword buried in the ground next to his cheek, Joffrey instantly lost control of his body.

Immediately after, a warm, wet sensation spread from his crotch.

The noble heir to the Protector of the Realm was actually scared into wetting himself by this god of death in front of him.

It was no wonder. Although the pampered Joffrey often saw cruelty and slaughter, he was always the one inflicting the violence, not the little chicken waiting to be slaughtered like he was now.

The huge psychological gap and the blood-soaked scene instantly took away the Crown Prince's sanity.

In his eyes, Jon's image right now was no different from a White Walker of the North, and one riding a direwolf at that.

Out of survival instinct, Joffrey could do nothing but nod in agreement and whimper, leaving the onlookers stunned.

After watching the Crown Prince scramble away, Jon looked at the two dead Red Cloaks and the Prince's longsword, feeling a throbbing pain in his frontal lobe.

However, before his headache could continue, the System came online again.

[Detected that Joffrey has suffered severe physical and mental trauma. The PTSD formed toward the Host will accompany him for life. Mission Reward: The Crown Prince's Bond (Limited Time Trial)]

[Optional Reward 2: One Valyrian Steel Longsword. Increases the trigger probability of "The Prince's Bond" (Friendly reminder: This effect easily triggers hidden effects)]

[This Auto-Pilot session is complete. Remember to leave a 5-star review~]

Looking at these ambiguous rewards, Jon wanted to ask the System if its cheat could offer something practical.

But that wasn't the primary issue.

According to his original plan, even if he wanted to "motivate" people, it wasn't supposed to be now.

After all, before securing a stronger ecological niche, self-preservation was his first priority. But since things had already happened, figuring out how to smooth things over became the top priority right now.
