Senju Compound
Malenia stood in front of Mito
Then Mito smiled—gentle, tired, relieved.
"You've grown again; it hasn't even been much longer since i last saw you", she said.
Malenia inclined her head slightly. "You look thinner, Sister."
Mito laughed quietly.
They walked together, unhurried, until they reached a small veranda overlooking the inner garden. Mito sat first, patting the space beside her. Malenia followed.
Silence settled
"I heard about Uzushio's war with Kiri," Mito said at last. "It was one sided beatdown."
Malenia's eyes remained forward.
Mito nodded. "Konoha should have been there."
That made Malenia look at her.
"We already knew," Malenia said, voice calm but firm. "No one will arrive."
Mito met her gaze without flinching.
She lowered her eyes.
"By the time Tobirama could move forces, you had already ended it. That doesn't excuse it—but it is the truth."
A pause.
"I won't ask you to forget that," Mito continued softly. "I wouldn't."
Malenia studied her sister's face— the weight she carried as jinchūriki, as First Hokage's wife, as Uzumaki far from home.
"Then why ask for help from us now?" Malenia asked.
Mito turned fully toward her.
"Because this village—" she looked at the mountain face of Hashirama"—was built by my husband, and held together by my blood."(who's madara?)
Her hand pressed lightly to her chest.
"Its selfish of me, but I don't want this village to perish."
Malenia was silent. (oh how I wanted to add why she loves Konoha more than her own homeland, for the plot we remain quiet)
Mito's voice softened further.
"I'm not asking as the Hokage's wife," she said. "I'm asking as your sister."
She reached into her sleeve and produced a scroll—simple, unmarked.
"Here's a gift from your sister," Mito added quietly. "Not as payment. But love from your sister."
She set the scroll between them.
"This is only my words."
Malenia did not touch it yet.
"Our father taught me," Malenia said slowly, "Never turn your back on family."
Mito smiled sadly. "But I let you down."
Their eyes met—two Uzumaki, bound by blood and burden.
After a long moment, Malenia picked up the scroll.
"We will go to the Kumo border," she said.
She stood.
Her gaze sharpened.
"Uzumaki aren't just pushovers", her fist clenched.
Mito rose as well, relief in her voice.
"Thank you," she said simply.
Malenia paused at the doorway.
"Don't thank me yet, Sister," she replied. "Make sure Konoha remembers who stood when they needed help"
Then she was gone.
Mito watched her leave, fingers tightening briefly around her sleeves.
"The Blade of Uzushio," she murmured
And somewhere beyond the village walls, the wind began to shift.

A few days later
Malenia and her team approached the borders of the Land of Lightning, and a dense mist rolled down from the mountains, shrouding the path ahead. The air buzzed with tension.
"Stay sharp," Malenia commanded, her voice steady but low. The shinobi behind her got ready for any sudden attacks. Each step was deliberate, their eyes scanning the trees and cliffs around them for any signs of movement. The village of Kumo lay just beyond the next ridge.
"Yo!" Then a Konoha shinobi emerged out of the mist. He looked at the shinobis and at the tall woman. Greetings, Queen, he bowed (he remembered his place) I'm Sarutobi Sasuke. The commander of this base.
"Hokage-sama told me about your arrival beforehand. You are the commander now". Malenia nodded and said, "Report". Sasuke nodded and said, "So far, there have no moments from them. We have been here for a month now."
Malenia nodded and went to the camp to settle.
