Still in the Kingdom of Arron, Will and the party continue through south to the dunes from the world map. Raye told the party that it would take 2 weeks to reach the dune and another 4 weeks to reach to the next kingdom, so doing quest for quick cash is their next plan for now.
They finally reach to the next city after 5 days.They decided to book a room inside an inn and went on to their quest. Will and Raye chose a quest that need to kill a hordes of goblin with a general. Al decide to choose a quest that needs extra priests to heal injured citizens that got involve with the goblin horde.
Raye:" Alright Will, the guild lady mentioned that this goblin hordes are tough to defeat, hero party that try challenging it got defeated by the general goblin. Here is a strategy, you defeat the goblin horde and I go fight with the general,"
Will:"Strategy? I don't play with strategy,"
Raye:"Come on now, we are a party, a party needs to work together, and I can't really let you do all the work, our party reputation would be disgusted by others for having someone to single solo their way"
Will:"...,fine"
Raye:"Right then, let's go!"
Raye and Will sneak up to a slope of a tiny hill and hid behind it. They both watch the goblin hordes and the general making sure they weren't notice only they fight. Well, that is what Raye initially thought until Will decided to stand up which draws the attention of the goblin.
Raye:"Wait Will what are you doing,...."
Will said nothing and raise his hand above his head, casting a huge fireball and then threw it to the goblin hordes that is running toward Will and Raye. The fireball Will cast cause a huge explosion sound which draws the attention of the goblin general.
Raye:"Crap"
Raye started running toward the goblin general, slashing goblin on his way while Will continue casting fireball, throwing it at the goblin hordes.More and more goblins come out from the hut, making it hard for Raye to reach to the goblin general.
"WILL! CAST A FIREBALL AND SHOOT IT AT THEIR HUTS,THIS WAY THE GOBLIN HORDES WILL STOP GROWING!" Raye shout to Will as he dodges and slash goblins.
Instead of listening,Will just cast a fire arrow and shot the goblin general.Despite him being the shadow sage, the goblin general still stand and is walking toward Raye holding his club.Will then cast many fire arrow and shot the goblin general.Nearby goblins got killed but the goblin general come out without a single scratch. Raye using his sword to block the fire arrow that fall to him that Will cast. Raye shout again:
"WILL, SHOOT THE GOBLIN HUT!"
Will continue to shoot the goblin general. His emotion remain unchanged.His emotionless face staring at the goblin general, I guess this is how dark sages work, alone.
Suddenly, the goblin general is infront of Raye. It raise its club and swung it at Raye. Raye use his sword to block and got sent back.Will look down at Raye and then the goblin hordes, finally listening to him as he cast two huge fireballs and shot it at the goblin huts.
Now having the goblin hordes reduce, Raye stood up and dash through the goblin, slashing them and then stood infront of the goblin general just a few feet away.
"EXCALIBUR!"
A beam of light came from the sword, so bright in shine through the forest. Raye slash his sword at the goblin general left leg which cause a cut. The goblin general yelled in pain as Raye run around the goblin general slashing him. Will then decides to use his ace magic, shadow magic.He cast a shadow like arrow and shot it at the goblin general's shadow which pin the goblin general at that spot.
"EXCALIBUR!"
Raye did the final slash and slice the goblin in half. Will look shock to see Raye is able to do such stunt.They then kill the remaining goblin before they could escape and take a break.
Raye:"So, teamwork isn't your kind of style,"
Will:"Dark sages tend to solo their enemy, teamwork isn't what you see them doing everyday, I guess that's why the demon king lost,"
Raye:"Huh"
Will:"....,how did you do that final attack,"
Raye:"What?"
Will:"How did you land such powerful slash, I don't think I faced anyone able to do that before, or I wasn't focusing on attack they use while fighting them"
Raye:"Well I just use mana to boost my strength and the attack making it powerful, nothing else,"
Will:"Interesting..."
"Seems like you live under a rock and know nothing else" Raye chuckle as he said that.
Will:"Well, dark sages aren't allowed to leave the demon king continent,"
Raye:"Better hope this journey help you learn a few things then"
They both laugh and return to the guild.On the other hand,Al meet up with other priests and start healing the injured.
"Hey, aren't you a teacher from that famous priest academy, I remember a student from that school mentioning a teacher with a goatee beard like you," An old priest suddenly talk to Al.
Al:"Well, not anymore.Recently just got fired,"
Priest:"My, surely must have some reason you don't want to share,"
Al:"Its nothing much,"
Al smiled as he said that, they then talk to each other until they done. Al then return to the guild to meet up with Will and Raye at evening.
