Terrence's eyes opened and met Erin's. Gold flashed through his irises as he extracted the knight's memories in less than a second.
"I see." He held out his hand. "Terrence Danbrose."
Erin hesitated, then accepted it. "Erin of the Royal Guard. I have to help the King and Queen-"
"No worries, Erin. These two fine young gentlemen managed to catch us and keep us from getting harmed." King Lars approached with Queen Miyoko, Ash, Nikolai, and the two Mages.
"Perks of having a wind Talent. Ash Zerbain. It's nice to meet you, Sir, Ma'am." Ash nodded.
"No need to be so formal. Call me King Lars, and that's my wife, Queen Miyoko."
Ash nodded again. The others were about to introduce themselves when Terrence stepped in.
This kingdom was already half-dead. Every previous summoned hero had died. The Demon King and his army were still out there.
There was no time.
"Introductions can happen later. We've got a more important matter on our hands."
