"Eiselle..that..was..AMAZING!"
Treasure giggled as she ran and hugged her. Paris followed as well, close enough that her shoulder bumped Treasure's, and she gave Eiselle's cheeks gentle pinches of pride, lingering on the second one like she needed Eiselle to feel it.
Eiselle giggled at the two. "Thank you. It feels..relieving to be awakened."
She had to hide her inner emotions while she said it. The smile stayed up. Behind it, uninvited, she remembered the reason her family cast her out of the Divinity Kingdom. She had to swallow it before it could touch her face.
Terrence looked at her for a second. Her laugh didn't sound like her regular one. It came out thinner, held too carefully, and her eyes were tense at the corners even while Treasure was still hanging off her.
Before he went to her, he summoned his Eternal Ruin Shadows again to hold the other demons at bay. He nodded to them and they got to work without hesitation, already hitting, already keeping the floor busy.
