I couldn't breathe
I couldn't move as everything became blurry with my eyes rooted to Lauren who kept staring at me with an eerie smile.
"I warned you to stay away from Peculiar but you kept troubling her and do you know how hard it had been for her to hold back all this while just because of me? Do you know what it is like to keep all that power in?" He further asked, making me more frightened than I already was.
Indeed, I had truly underestimated him and made myself an enemy and I was too scared to ask to confirm everything.
If he knew all along then it meant I had just been a pawn in their game.
In fact, Peculiar wasn't the evil one here but him.
He was the monster!
