Asher sat up straight. "What?"
"She went on Channel 7. Cried on camera. Said she was 'devastated' to learn about Kael's secret family. Said she 'always suspected he was hiding something.' Made herself look like the victim."
"Are you kidding me?"
Kael's expression darkened. "What did she say?"
Asher put the phone on speaker. "Elliot, tell him."
Elliot repeated it, then added: "She also hinted that she thinks the twins might not be Kael's. Said, 'DNA tests can be faked. Money can buy anything.' It was subtle, but the implication was clear."
Kael stood up, pacing. "She's trying to plant doubt. To make people question if they're really mine."
"Can you sue her?" Asher asked.
"I can try. But she was careful with her wording. 'I think' and 'maybe' and 'possibly'—it's all speculation. Hard to prove defamation."
"So she gets away with it."
"For now." Kael's jaw was tight. "But I'll make a statement. I'll release the DNA results if I have to."
