Chapter 0.1: Note before reading

[This will serve as an extension to my review, containing a few more details and my approach in this novel, as well as some extra information regarding chapter output at the end.]

Like all Xianxia novels, this novel is going to be about reaching immortality and going beyond. If you look for a grander reason, something extremely emotional and catching…

Maybe a clone will fulfill this. Who knows? In all honesty, I only have ideas for a few clones, and besides the main clones I have already introduced, the others are open for discussion. This discussion will be held in my Discord! You can find the link in my synopsis or also here in the paragraph comment.

As said in my review, this novel will mainly be about Clones and Talismans.

Let's start with Talismans:

Have you ever read about talismans? Like, really read about them? Not just drawing a talisman, throwing it at the enemy and wow, it's basically just a one-time or, if you're lucky, multiple-time spell you can use without learning.

Personally, I haven't read a talisman novel that was beyond this simple setup. So when I talk about talismans, I really mean the art of talismans. If you ever heard even the slightest about talismans, like talisman weapons, they will also appear here.

But beyond these, there will also be Talisman Formations, Talisman Con-, wait, I won't tell you. Read the novel to know more!

Naturally besides these higher forms of talismans, just the talismans themselves will also be described in depth. Types, Techniques, Branches, and other different categories that will later on create a talisman. The simple one-time disposable spell holder is but the most common type of talisman.

Now let's go over to Clones:

What will the clones be? What is their relationship to Fu Xian?

I can right away tell you the answer to the last question: the word Clone says it all. No matter what description I put here, the easiest way is to take them as clones with different personalities but still clones.

Which clones I will introduce are still up for discussion. At one point I made a list, but holding myself to a list is too restrictive, so I will just take the list as a 'possible clone list'.

The general idea behind each clone will be to have a unique path usually unexplored or rarely explored in cultivation novels and to make the clone even more niche in this aspect.

Once you reach the first main clone, I think you will see what I mean by 'unique unexplored path' + 'niche approach'.

An example:

Cultivation, as far as I understand, is based on the Taoist myth of immortals. But if you look at it, cultivation is far from Taoism. Taoism seems to be a unique unexplored path, and there are many ways to have a niche approach since every approach is pretty niche. In this case, should I make a Taoist clone? Maybe.

That's not to say I won't create any clones whose paths have already been exposed. Was the demon path explored? Sure, but will I create a demon clone? Maybe. If I do so, it will definitely be unique on its own.

Finally, what do I really want to say? READ! You are readers, so of course you should read!

Lastly, what will my update schedule be?

For January initially my goal was to write 2 chapters daily. But when I saw new readers, I felt a burst of motivation, which made me change my goal to four chapters daily.

I hope to remain at this stage and do it as long as possible, but it's quite difficult to keep up the quality while posting so many chapters.

Once I feel it's too much and my quality decreases, I will reduce it to 2 chapters daily again.

In the month of February, I will create Bonus Chapter Goals, whether it's spirit stones… (power stones), golden tickets or reviews.

Like most other novels do, gifts will also earn Bonus Chapters :D

I'm not sure how others do it, but I will make sure that on the day of the gift, I will instantly publish extra chapters, and the rest of the extra chapters will arrive over the course of the following week.
