The time passed and Yiyuan was taught a few matters by the clan elders, being introduced to cultivation and learning the art of introducing qi into the body.
The longer Fu Xian looked, the more he felt helpless. The flow of time in Yiyuan's place was just the same as his. Either the world he was in was of the same grade as his, or they were simply in the same world.
It is unlikely he'll meet another top-world leading directly to the immortal realm…

It's fine if others are able to awaken aspects of his level, he didn't mind.
It's just that beyond this world is the immortal world.
If people in this world can awaken that level, doesn't that mean such a thing is easy to achieve in the immortal world?
He'd rather be the only one in this world and have no one awaken, just so the chance of encountering super-geniuses will be lower.
Imagine if there was someone who could trace back to him and kill him in an instant… such a thing couldn't be allowed.
Then he thought, if such a thing was really possible, he might as well just give up now. Rather than being stunned by such useless thoughts, you should just go your way. What will happen will happen and he'll find a way.
He calmed his mind and started browsing his own little library. Although he lived in the Immortal City and had a relatively boring life, he didn't seclude himself from the society and enjoyed reading a lot. Because of this, over the years, he was able to fill his library with books ranging from rumours in the mortal realm to mystical inheritances and esoteric knowledge.
Of course most of it was of lower value or zero value.
There were only a few valuable books and manuals in his library… but even though he only owned a few such things, the years of reading had stimulated his brain and enhanced his knowledge of all kinds of general information a lot.
Soon, he recalled that he had read about a cultivation art suitable for Yiyuan.
He didn't hesitate and walked out of his yard. Cultivation was a matter of utmost importance, but each stage had different focuses.
In fact, based on the anecdotes Fu Xian read, there were only four cultivation stages in the immortal realm above, once passed down to the lower realm, these four became eight to accommodate the lower spiritual power and difficult path of cultivation.
The first stage is to refine Essence into Qi, this stage is about learning to control spiritual power and strengthening the body to accommodate spiritual power. In the lower worlds, this stage is split into qi refining, which focuses on learning how to control spiritual power, and foundation building, which focuses on the latter part of the stage.
The following higher stage is "Awakening Spirit with Qi", in this stage, you awaken your spiritual consciousness and realise the mysteries of the dao. The stage is split into two because you awaken two different things:
In the Origin Light stage, you awaken your innate aspect. These aspects are ranked similar most of the things in the cultivation world: Low, Middle, High and Top. But beyond the top-grade, there is another realm. Those Innate Aspects that lead directly to immortality are called "True Aspects" and without them, reaching immortality will be more difficult. Fortunately, cultivation is not static and foundation is changeable, everything can be improved over time.
The second stage, called Spiritual Core, intends to gather all spiritual power in the body into a single core. With the formation of the spiritual core, you transcend mortal beings. Your lifespan is a thousand years, your body is always in the prime, and in the centre of your core, you can store a Dao Creation, a protection that will aid and guide you on your path of cultivation.
These Dao Creations have been introduced through the main Creation Arts of Weapons, Talisman, Alchemy, Formation and Weaving. These are the five foundational arts that have together created theCrafting Dao.
Some also call the "Awakening the Spirit through Qi" the "Entering Dao Stage", because in this stage, you awaken your "talent" and gain the most important protection method, both of which will follow you for life.
The next stages aren't less important, but they have a different focus.
Fu Xian didn't even have the third stage of his own cultivation art, so any cultivation wouldn't truly help him, especially since it was incredibly slow to gather spiritual power with a second-stage cultivation art when you're a third-stage cultivator.
Thinking of this, he suddenly realised that he neglected his own cultivation a bit because he was so excited to use his innate aspect!
He smiled to himself, but didn't think it was any issue. It had only been a bit over a day since he came out of seclusion, he had more than enough time to slowly do everything.
Suddenly a thought stuck him and he took a step forward, stepping on the air!
He hovered above the ground, like an eagle hovering over the mountain!
The spiritual and law density of the world made it impossible for those below the Origin Light stage to fly! Qi refining cultivators couldn't fly at all, foundation building cultivators could use flying tools to fly, and only now was he able to properly fly!
He stepped on air and hovered, speeding up and slowing down, not daring to fly too high. He hadn't yet registered with the general affairs hall, so if he flew just like that, he would be shot down by the island's protective formation.
Fortunately, hovering was permissible under his previous foundation building cultivation.
At the same time, he had another thought and spread his spiritual sense –
The situation was similar to his understanding: qi refining could use spiritual sense to perceive their internal body, foundation building could use it to control weapons, and now, as an origin light, he could truly sense his surroundings!
He didn't dare spread it fully, only sensing a few metres around him.
In an instant, he felt overwhelmed!
Suddenly, he perceived everything!
His brain stopped for a moment because of the sensual overload, taking several seconds to adapt.
Previously his heightened senses already made him able to directly zoom in ten times with his eyes, but now, he could go deeper, zooming in a hundred times!
A few moments later, he calmed down and shook his head.
Although Spiritual Sense was a great ability, in fact, the spiritual sense he had was still in the "growth" phase.
In the third higher stage, beyond "Awakening Spirit through Qi", the spiritual sense will transform into a divine sense. For now, all he experienced was heightened vision and awareness.
Even though he didn't know the further abilities of Spiritual Sense in the later stages, just knowing it would be even better than now, excited him and ignited his ambition.
As he wandered around outside his own cave, he saw his neighbours walking around.
His cave was in a rather secluded spot, so he had to walk out a bit until he saw other people. Though most of these were people related to his neighbours, not his real neighbours, as each and every one of these was at least in the third stage.
The space of the whole neighbourhood was very large, leaving enough space for expansion.
Previously, most neighbours ignored him or simply thought he was a relative, servant or disciple of a neighbour, not an equal. But now, with his higher strength, he was greeted by some neighbours with smiles.
Just as he was enjoying the landscape with a different view, suddenly, a burly man of strong stature stepped up and asked him with a bright smile "Oh, are you little Fu?"
Fu Xian looked over, feeling the pressure of this senior, he instantly bowed "Greetings, Senior Ruan!"
