A few minutes after the creepy greeting, I could finally see a bunch of carriages coming our way.
By the time the carriages arrived, the rest of the survivors had already gathered.
Judging by their expressions... they knew who was responsible.
But none of them said a word.
They just entered their carriages and, after giving some instructions to their coach drivers, they left one by one.
I didn't get these kinds of people.
Why wouldn't they stand up for themselves?
"Mikael, let's go as well."
Clementine gestured at a nearby carriage.
Just then, Kai tapped me on the shoulder.
When I turned around, I was met with a wide smile.
"Why don't the four of us take one carriage? I want to get to know you both a little better."
It looks like he doesn't know how to read the room.
"Sorry, Evangeline and I want to have some alone time. I'm sure we'll have some time to chat in the Harper Citadel."
Kai pouted slightly, but then gave in.
