Valen stood still not moving an inch from there, her hand still on her face.
"Are you okay?"
The question still ringing loud in her ears, "Valen..." a guard yelled hard to get her attention.
She shook a bit, "yes..." she replied calmly.
"You looked a bit out of it," the guard said, confusion written all over his face.
"I'm fine," her voice was small, barely over a whisper.
The guard didn't say anything then handed her a cream, "here...the king ordered you take this."
She nodded and took the cream from him, she wondered how long she had been standing there.
She left him, her mind kept trailing back to the King's soft hands on her face, soft feelings lept fluttering in her body and she couldn't describe what it was.
As she made her way to her chambers, a pair of hands covered her nose then she was knocked out cold.
Valen flickered her hands open, she tried moving and that's when she noticed she was chained up.
"Look...he's finally awake..." one of them spoke, they were completely covered with masks.
"The King's kept man, he's quite handsome..." one of them trailed their finger on his face but she moved her face from his touch but he pulled it back closer to his gaze.
"Who the hell are you and how did you get into the palace?" Valen spoke, his voice filled with rage.
"Oooo...scary..." one of the mocked.
Valen couldn't recognize any of their voices, so certainly they were guards if the royal palace, were they working for someone out of the palace or in the palace.
"I promise to spare you if you let me go now else..." she shrugged with a smile.
The three hefty men burst into a heavy, mocking laughter, one even wiped a tear.
"Did he just threaten us? Being the King's favorite must have really messed his brain."
"That gave him no right to mess with our Alpha princess."
Valen scoffed, "oh...that little wannabe is your Alpha princess, I should have known."
One of them slapped her so hard, she spit out blood, then dragged her face close to his face, "you speak no foul words against our Princess."
Valen still smiled, blood filled in her mouth, "so your dear princess sent you her, no..." she eyed all three men, "sent all you three for just one man, what a coward."
The man wanted to hit her again, "stop..." a feminine voice halted him, they all turned and Daphne was strutting with two men standing close to her, she had a satisfying smile seeing her all weak.
"There he is...Valen, I suppose," Daphne smiled and clasped her hands together.
"Leave us..." she ordered the men around and they bowed any left.
Then she faced Valen and gave her another harsh slap, then held her jaw, "that's for threatening me," she gave her another one by the left cheek "...and that's for humiliating me."
Daphne released Valen from her grip, "I promised you that I would make you pay and now look at you."
Valen spat blood at her, "an Alpha princess my foot, more like a spoilt princess who cries to her daddy that a king turned her down...pathetic!"
Daphne folded her fist and screamed in anger, she raised her fist to slap her again, "do it princess, that's the only thing you're good at."
Daphne froze when she noticed that Valen was unfazed, "what...cat got your tongue brat?" Valen raised her brow at her.
"What are you planning you vile beast?" Daphne dropped her hand.
Valen's eyes turned from icy blue to emerald green orbs, she had a wide grin and finally broke from her chains startling Daphne, she rubbed her fists, "finally..." she breathed out softly.
"How...?" Daphne's eyes were filled with shock.
Valen grabbed her by the hair, and placed a dagger dangerously close to her neck, Daphne gasped, lips quivering in fear, "oh...now you're scared, what a plot twist."
Valen dragged Daphne outside, the men were outside and immediately brought out their weapons, "it's best you drop your weapon or I won't think twice before I slit her throat open."
"There's five of us and one of you, do you think we fear you," one growled at her.
"I don't have time for your threats, I broke out from your chains, so don't test me..." Valen placed the dagger closer to Daphne's neck, blood already dripping on the dagger.
She screamed in fear and terror, "do what she fucking says..."
The men all dropped the weapons then Valen dragged Daphne along with her, "they listened to you, why are you still doing this?"
"Don't follow me cause the moment you do, you'll be meeting your Alpha princess dead body," Valen warned and dragged Daphne through the thick forest and when she noticed the place was clear she threw her to the ground and grabbed her close then gave her a resounding slap and knocked her cold.
"I told you I would hit back," Valen muttered then tramsformed into her wolf form and dashed back to the palace.
The moment she arrived at the gate, she dared not change back else exposing her true form, she needed to find a way to get into the palace while in her wolf form or change back and get some clothes.
Unfortunately for her, some guards noticed her and tried to capture her but she managed to escaped.
"The wolf is definitely nearby..." one of them yelled out.
She was trapped, one of the guards noticed her and hit her, she howled hard and attacked him back, knocking him hard.
Valen transformed back to her human side, she was aching hard since it was a long time she transformed, it used most of her strength, she was bleeding from the side.
She had no time to waste, she took off his clothes, "I apologize..." she tapped the unconscious solider.
Valen dressed up quickly and made her way into the palace.
"Stop there..." a guard stopped her midst her tracks.
"Put your hand behind your head and turn slowly," Valen sighed but obeyed and turned.
The guards widened their eyes in shock and knelt, "we apologize for the misconception."
"It's fine, you may rise," her voice was completely weak.
"There was a wolf nearby and we thought it was from the blue moon pack." One of them spoke.
"I was the wolf," Valen had a dead stare on her face, the guards now were fidgeting with their weapon, "now if there are no more questions, I need to go in."
They bowed and rushed to their post, Valen made her way back to the palace.
The moment a familiar guard saw her, "Valen has returned," he screamed at the top of his lungs.
Valen shocked, continued her path until two guards stood in front of her, "Valen...welcome back but you are to be at the council room.
She nodded and went along with them with no questions asked, she still felt weak and knew that any moment from now she would collapse.
She needed to stand strong or expose the truth and get her killed.
