Chapter 299 - Chapter 299: The Final Chain Quest

"Quest Triggered: Stubborn Resistance."

"Stubborn Resistance: Due to your coercion, the proud Draka is forced into a final duel with you. She must defeat you to maintain the stability of the clan. Content: Defeat Draka in a duel. Reward: Draka becomes a follower."

As expected, there was a quest to be triggered. Generally, quest rewards were quite good; even if it was just a level-up, it was a worthwhile reward.

Facing Draka, even Arthas did not let his guard down. Since it was a duel, there could be no slighting the opponent; he had to give his all.

"Argh!" Draka let out a piercing roar, using her rage to bolster herself before charging forward. Her sharp axes were coated in a cold light, slicing through the air and pushing the atmosphere aside. The axes vibrated slightly from the high-speed swing, emitting a low hiss.

Clang! Arthas activated Shield Block, absorbing Draka's damage. Under his high damage reduction, he only felt a slight sting; there was no sense of overwhelming power. It made sense; his strength was no longer what it used to be. He could hold his own even against Orcs. Draka was a technical warrior with military leadership talent, not a pure strength-based warrior; her impact was only so much.

Boom! Draka flew backward even faster than she had come. She hit the ground, pfft, spitting out a mouthful of blood as she looked at Arthas in horror. What kind of power was that? Why did a single strike send her flying? She hadn't even seen how Arthas moved. This counterattack was impossible to dodge—it was terrifying!

Arthas walked over slowly, each step steady. But in Draka's eyes, he was no different from the Grim Reaper, coming step by step to take her life.

She tried to stand, but her body wouldn't move. Long ago, while being hunted by assassins sent by Gul'dan, she had survived a near-death experience, fainting and being washed away by water to an unknown place. It had taken half a year to recover, and even longer to find the Frostwolf Clan. She still carried those old injuries; she was simply no match for Arthas. Her current strength was less than sixty percent of her peak, and her body wouldn't allow her to exert any more.

Hum, a burst of pure Holy Light descended, healing the immobilized Draka. The one who had acted was actually Arthas. Not only did Draka not understand this, but even the surrounding Orcs were dumbstruck. Healing your opponent? What kind of madness was this?

"If you're not satisfied, get up and keep fighting! I'll beat you until you submit! I challenge you for the position of Chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan!" Arthas's eyes held a trace of fanatical desire. Conquest! Conquering these Orcs and making them work for him. Horde, Alliance—he didn't care. Those forms were meaningless. It was far more efficient if everyone just listened to him!

"I will not yield!" Draka roared in anger. She saw the shadow of her husband in Arthas. The same unyielding tenacity, the same unique Leadership Charisma. This made her panic. How was this possible! It was absolutely impossible; she would never betray her husband!

Boom! The enraged Draka exploded with unprecedented fury. Her axes seemed to tear through the air and cut through space itself.

However, she was still blocked by Arthas. Without even making a move, he sent her flying again. Pfft! She spat out another large mouthful of blood, looking completely drained.

Buzz! The Holy Light fell again. Arthas walked up to Draka. This time, as she remained unable to move, he kicked her axes away and hoisted her onto his shoulder!

"I won! If anyone else isn't satisfied, step forward! Today, I'll beat every single one of you into the ground!"

"Me!" A sturdy Orc soldier stepped forward. His muscles rippled, veins bulging; he was a vision of raw power and visual impact!

Arthas crooked a finger at him. "Come!"

"Hah!" The Orc soldier charged forward angrily, forgoing weapons. His massive fist clenched like a wheel as it slammed down. The whistling wind proved the strength behind this punch was beyond the limit; being hit would definitely break bones!

Boom! With one hand carrying Draka, Arthas used the other to clash violently with the Orc.

Crack!

"Ahhh!" The Orc screamed as he was sent flying, his arm twisted into a gruesome braid.

Arthas didn't have it easy either. His blood boiled, and his internal organs felt like they had taken a heavy impact. The shock was like being hit head-on by a speeding truck. It was uncomfortable, but a hot emotion began to spread. This thrill of fist-to-fist combat made him fanatical. This was the feeling—One Punch Man!

"Ding! Chain Quest Triggered: Hostility of the Warchief (III)."

"Hostility of the Warchief (III) - King of the Clans: Engage challengers from the Frostwolf Clan without using weapons. Content: Defeat fifty challengers. Reward: Chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan. Upon completion, the final reward for the chain quest will be issued: King of the Clans."

Arthas finally understood something upon seeing the chain quest. It seemed the rewards for individual parts of the chain quest weren't great; only upon final completion would there be a massive payout. And what exactly was this "King of the Clans"?

"Who else? Step forward! Today I give you a chance—beat me, and I'll let the Frostwolf Clan leave! Otherwise, you will all submit at my feet and serve me as your Master!" Arthas roared at the surrounding Frostwolf warriors, still carrying the disbelieving Draka on his shoulder. He was carrying the Chieftain's wife while provoking the entire race!

"Roar! Me!" Another Orc warrior stepped out, roaring as he charged. He too was empty-handed. This was a duel without weapons, a victory based purely on physical strength—the oldest and most favored tradition of the Orcs.

Boom! In a direct head-on collision, Arthas still held his ground, though his arms felt numb this time. He immediately used Life Essence to soothe the ache, while simultaneously using the Holy Light to heal himself and stabilize his injuries.
