"Activate the T-36 and destroy 'it' fast!" screamed General Orbus.
"It's already activated and doing it's work sir," replied a soldier.
"Then why the hell is 'it' showing on my radar, you moron,"
"We don't know sir,"
"Just go and destroy it manually, we don't want any interference with the system after these many years,"
"Yes sir!"
General Orbus slammed his fists on his desk, there was no way this was happening after this many years and how did it even happen? The security of 'The Gem' was very strict until 'it' proved them wrong and was still infiltrating the whole 'Jewel Case' and putting everyone's lives at risk.
"Haven't you gotten rid of 'it' yet!"
"No sir it's too fast and people can't even catch up to it"
"What the hell! Did you guys see where it went after you guys chased it?"
"No sir it disappeared all of a sudden"
"Shit, this is a crisis, we have to activate a disinfectant protocol if this infiltration continues"
He paced left to right in his room while still screaming orders on the microphone, he thought that if the T-36 couldn't destroy it, then nothing can, nevermind them. Sweat dripped down his half-wrinkled face, he was middle-aged and his hair was also turning white. He sat down on his chair while breathing heavily, in his whole life while working in the 'The Jewel Case', he never faced a situation like this, it had happened once many thousand years ago but the situation had been solved quickly, now it was back again when they were more advanced but still now they couldn't destroy it.
Suddenly the alarms started beeping and it startled him all of a sudden, he went to his screen to see what had happened. His eyes widened with shock. 'It' had entered 'The Gem's' mainframe. This required the attention of the higher ups. He went to the microphone and issued the orders loud and clear.
"Operator 3-ZX, have you reported the situation to the higher ups yet?"
"Yes sir I did and sir they require your presence in the meeting room so I suggest you go there as soon as possible,"
"This was expected," thought Orbus, "Looks like I'm getting fired,"
He stepped on the warp pad and got teleported to the upper areas of the Jewel Case. The higher ups worked there and they were known as the 'Gems of Hell' because they were menacing and divine at the same time.
He quickly went towards the meeting room and slowly pushed the door open. All of the Gems stared at him as he entered the room and quietly sat down in one of the chairs.
"So, General Orbus, want to explain what just happened down there," said Chief Diamond or Dia as she was called by her colleagues.
"This is unprecedented, how could you let this even happen after a thousand years?!" asked Chief Silver or Silva as he was called by his colleagues.
"Supreme Gems, I couldn't do anything, even the T-36 couldn't destroy it, how could my-
His statement was cut abruptly by a hand smacked on the desk.
"We know the T-36 couldn't destroy it, you moron," he spoke with a heavy voice, "but you shouldn't make excuses about it"
Chief Ruby or Rubeus as he was called was very short-tempered and fierce, even the other Gems were sometimes hesitant to act when he was angry.
"You have worked here for a very long time General, you should know better than anyone that I don't like people who don't take responsibility for whatever that happens in their work," he spoke in a menacing way.
General Orbus flinched after hearing his words and he looked at his feet not able to look anyone in their face
"Now, now Rubeus you shouldn't scare him like that, you very well know that he didn't mean his words like that," it was Chief Sapphire or Sap who spoke this time.
"Hmpf! What good is he if he can't even take responsibility!"
"You are right about that but he IS loyal to the organization and us, remember that too,"
"But-" Rubeus' statement was cut short.
"Stop arguing you two, it's not a discussion about loyalty or responsibility," Chief Emerald cut their argument short.
"But I-" Rubeus' statement was cut short again.
"Chief Ema is right, why do you always end up arguing anyways whenever we try to discuss something important?" it was Chief Pearl or Pea who didn't let Rubeus finish this time.
"We have to discuss something important, don't you guys remember" spoke Chief Gold, "Save your arguments for later and focus for now" he said and everybody went silent.
"Now to the main topic, tell me 'General', what happened with the 'Alpha-Bug'?"
"I don't know sir, the alarms beeped when the big entered the mainframe, we haven't heard about it since then," replied the General.
"Hmm, this is a matter of concern but I don't think the big will be able to do much damage on the 'Profiles' because their owners are still-"
Chief Gold's words were cut abruptly as an alarm beeped across the entire headquarters of the Jewel Case, Orbus ran to the nearest control panel to get the report on the situation, he connected the transmission to the speaker so that everyone could hear clearly.
"Operator 3-ZX! What's the situation? Why are the alarms beeping all of a sudden?" he asked
"Sir, it's... a big emergency,"
"Emergency? What happened tell me right now!"
"The bug..... it went into one of the people's profile,"
"What?!" everyone in the room said at once and went silent with shock.
"What is the name of the person in whose profile the bug entered?" he asked
"It's Takeshi Sato"
"Ok where is the person now?"
"Let me check sir...."
The operator went silent for a minute and Orbus got impatient.
"Hello, what happened?" he hurriedly asked, " Operator 3-ZX can you hear me? Where is the person now? Hello?"
The operator spoke after 5 minutes at most.
"Sorry sir for the delay but...." she went silent again.
"But what?" he hurriedly asked
"The person... Takeshi Sato is dead!"
"The hell.." everyone went silent
"When did he die?" asked Chief Gold
"Just now when the big entered his profile" she replied
