Lucy didn't want to say it, as Ace disappeared during the scene. Though a Maine saw him, unfortunately he was able to fully see how he didn't have much per say. Cyberware etched into his body, Lucy didn't want them to see him.
One would question him, Kiwi especially would probably try to hack his cyberware only for her to find out that he wasn't even someone like them. He was not part cyborg just a true human with a full human body.
Lucy couldn't believe it at first, but that reason she felt a sense of longing. As she once was like that, she also had some thoughts arise when finding out.
Would Ace like her body?
She wasn't 100% flesh and she never seen anybody like that for decades. She wanted to touch him but was a bit to shy for that.
Her feelings that she thought were simple things that one like her who is living this kind of life shouldn't feel. Now she knew she was falling for him, his teasing and smile made her heart thump. His presence reassured her safety a lot and brought her peace. Just like how he speaks to her in her mind.
"He's someone I paid for being my bodyguard."
"You paid someone to bodyguard you?"
Maine was surprised to have someone like Lucy splurge her money on something like that. She was dam good netrunner to outrun people and loose them.
"You ain't get yer self in trouble? Big fuckers coming after you?"
He was curious wanting to pry into her business. Lucy just gave a nod, Maine then thought of something.
"Shit, if you really bought someone like that of his skill, let me have him join the group."
Lucy looked away as she didn't expect him to say something like that. Maine looked at her as he had a grin thinking of this as an opportunity.
"You're not trying to have him join?"
"I don't know, I'll have to talk to him."
"Ha! You know you get paid good with me, more missions and for someone like you to buy his services he must be a darn good fighter."
Maine had a good sense in recruiting the best people to his group.
" Get him to join, we can take on bigger missions to earn even more money with him."
"I'll see, but I won't guarantee that he will join."
"Hmmm, even though he's your bodyguard why don't I see him with you?"
He wondered around with his eyes and found it quite intriguing.
"He is close by and that's how he operates only protecting me in his own way."
"Ho~? Well I did take a good look at him, you really bought a handsome fucker, I thought you were buying yer self a little pretty boy."
Lucy glared at Maine's blunt words, as his eyes narrowed trying to find the bodyguard. He then chuckled as it was pointless.
"He's hiding well, just protect yu but not us is quite selfish of ya."
But Maine didn't take it to heart, though he was even more curious to how he operates and how strong and skillful he truly was. He didn't bother anymore to look around for him, if Lucy said was true. He was around here just protecting her in the shadow.
He would ask Kiwi to do a little investigation but decided not to.

As she sat on the hood of the car, Pilar spotted her and grinned as he was going to put his arm around her. He was going to keep trying to flirt with her.
"No pilar."
She dodged his arm as he snorted.
"man can't give me the time of day?"
"No"
"Harsh Lucy, just Harsh."
Pilar didn't keep going, he would you know play it safe and not annoy her to much.

She didn't let his teasing get to her. Ace hummed as he already knew the answer. She was lonely without him. Hearing of Faraday Ace wouldn't mind eliminating him.

In a car, Gloria was preparing to hijack a transport of Arasaka.

Gloria had been inexpressive a good while but now with Ace. She was flustered a bit but didn't hate it. Maybe she was looking forward to the kisses even more. Still sorrow lingered in her heart, it was being washed away with his presence.
