Noel Hoover, red haired petite looking boy, a bad boy demeanor with the brain of an overachiever. He is a 20 year old college student at high-flyers academy which is mostly an all boys school except for the fact that girls attend the school but have no forms and aren't allowed to stay in the school after lunch. Noel sat in a classroom with his earphones on as he silently tapped on his desk and vibes to the music he was listening to, the other students in the classroom formed groups and discussed. It was clear that both the boys and girls were discussing something intriguing because of the way they all chipped into the conversation.
" Hey Hoover, you heard about the new transfer in our year, I wonder what department." Lance Raid said which made Noel turn to him and slowly take off his earphones
" Honestly, I don't care " he simply said while putting his earphones and phone into his bag. The lecturer walked in and they all echoed a greeting for the middle aged man which he responded to with a warm smile as usual.
" Okay guys, you have a new student joining science department... Come in" Mr Diesel said, the last part referring to someone outside. The classroom went silent as a tall, dark haired guy walked in with a warm smile plastered on his undeniably handsome face and hands tucked into his pockets.
" Hello guys, nice to meet you all. My name is Jason carter and I hope you take care of me. " The guy said and after a short while everyone except Noel who didn't care, greeted him as he walked over to a seat behind Noel, as he passed their eyes met briefly but they both looked away like nothing happened.
Classes commenced like every normal day and Jason turned out to be a really smart student but for some reason, each time he answered a question Noel would roll his eyes. Lance noticed this action. It was finally time for lunch but nobody attempted to leave the classroom yet, Noel found this strange as they usually rush out of the classroom like hungry barbarians.
" So.... New dude tell us about you, where did you come from, age, relationship status and stuff like that" Lance said and majority agreed
" I don't really like talking about myself so openly since I won't know what to say so maybe you guys can tell me what you observe as the days go by" Jason answered modestly and this caught a lot of admiration from female students and some male as well. Noel couldn't take it anymore and let out a frustrated sigh then stood up and picked up his bag then turned to walk out until Jason grabbed his wrist and stopped him. Classmates began murmuring and Noel gave an exaggerated sigh then turned
" Look dude, I don't like being touched so let go" Noel said, shock, confusion and a hint of amusement maybe 🤔... Washed over Jason's face then he let go.
" I am sorry, I just wanted to ask you what your name is and I didn't want to address you rudely that's why I grabbed you. Can I know your name... I'd like to be friends " Jason said which caused a little more murmuring
".... Ask anyone here if you really want to know, and I don't want you as a friend by the way but everyone else would like to take you up on that offer. It's almost time for the girls to go so I'm going to lunch " and just like that Noel left the classroom while stared at the door. Classmates comforted him saying things like 'that is just Noel being himself' but Jason wasn't angry.... He was rather amused.
After lunch, Noel went back to his room in the boys dorm. His roommate was not yet back so he had the opportunity to enjoy some peace and quiet before his roommate comes back. Noel sat on the sofa with a peaceful smile on his face and as eyes closed
" What are you doing?" Lance whispered in Noel's ear after quietly opening the door and walking over to him.
" Ahhh! Jesus Christ you son of a..." Noel yelled angrily at his roommate Lance who burst out into wild laughter at this reaction.
" Oh my gosh, you should have seen your reaction. You looked like you had just met scp-067 in real life"
" You shameless bastard, I told you not to do this again, I almost had a stroke" this statement only made Lance laugh some more while even grabbing onto the back rest of the couch to support himself as he laughed hysterically.
" I wonder why I got such a useless person for a roommate, I hate how annoying you are" Noel said and headed to his bed on his side of the room. Their dorm room is a big room with two beds at each side of the room and two sofas as well, a door leading to the bathroom, a door leading to the small kitchen and of course a door that leads outside. Noel lay down and took out his phone from his bag which he had thrown haphazardly onto his bed upon entry into the room.
Lance went over to Noel's bed and climbed it which made the owner of the bed look at him skeptically
"I'm sorry okay, I was just joking with you" he apologised
" Yeah, by shortening my life span or what?" Noel asked and Lance couldn't help but want to tease him a little, he really liked seeing his roommate pouting.
" It's not my fault that you are so cute when you get scared" Lance teased and Noel gave him an unimpressed look then turned the other way
" I saw sparks flying between you and the new transfer, do you think he likes you?" Lance asked
" Oh, cut the crap you idiot. You love to talk nonsense and that is why I avoid you in classroom, I'm going to take a bath and prepare for prep session." Noel declared and went to the bathroom.
