Evie was awakened by the chiming of bells from a nearby church. She sat up on the bed, recollecting her thoughts, and then stood up to wake up Helga. She also went out and knocked on Max's door to wake him up.
The water in the alms-house was cold, but they had no luxury of caring about that, so after their shower, Evie started her makeup session by dolling Helga up. Once she was done, she turned to herself and started applying it.
Meanwhile, Helga packed the small possessions they had in a bundle. Once she was done, she went to check up on Max, just to find him standing at his door, all dressed with his small bundle, waiting for them.
"Let's go," Evie said as she came out of the room with their bundle. "Let me carry that, young master," she said, reaching out to take Max's, as she immediately got in character.
