The emperor stood at the gates of Greykeep with fifty of his best and personal infantry behind him, they were trained for any scenario. Captain Conner and Eldric followed him closely.
The guards at the gate all fell to their knees. "Good evening, Your Majesty. May the light be with you and welcome to Greykeep," they said in unison, the greetings echoing from the mountain nearby. "Open the gate," Captain Conner commanded in a deep voice, and the guards jumped to their feet, opening the gate wide.
The emperor went through the gate, leaving behind dust and the fading sound of a horse galloping. The closer he got, the more worried he became. "What if she doesn't want to go back under any circumstances?" he mentally questioned himself.
