Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

CHAPTER 1: PYRAMID STONE

I walked calmly, holding a glass of wine in my right hand. I angled my watch to 160 degrees, where it would locate the data I needed.

Using my microchip contact lenses, I could see information about my targets. The lenses displayed their names, ages, and occupations above their heads like virtual name tags.

Personal Information:

Name: Darcus Manhattan

Age: 68

Net worth: $67B

Records:

-Government Involvement

-Smuggling and trafficking offenses

-Bribery allegations

-Murder

-Drug dealer

"Oh, look at this man. The beast hiding beneath the beautiful and expensive clothing" I said calmly and my teammates can hear me from the earpiece that I am wearing.

My lenses even displayed a warning symbol above the head of a man sitting in the corner, indicating that he was carrying a concealed weapon.

"Wallace! Stay there for three minutes then turn left and go upstairs then, see the guy with a dark shades?" He said and I look at the area he told me. "Yes" I said.

"Took him to the restroom and knock him out. He got the passcode" he assisted me.

My monitor team has the full control over the surveillance camera. I've done this before and I am sure that I will do it again.

I noticed the security guards staring at me, and they are alarmed. I sat down at the liquor area.

"Shot of tequila, please," I said to the bartender in front of me.

A woman sat next to me, and I gave her a glance.

"Hi," she greeted me with a smile. I smiled back and took the tequila. I noticed her gaze and turned to face her. I reached out and gently brushed her hair behind her ear.

"Can I ask you for a date?" I asked.

She laughed and pulled my necktie, bringing our faces inches apart.

"You're quick, but okay... I'm Monica," she introduced herself.

My eyebrows rose, and I took her hand, which was still holding my necktie.

"Wallace," I replied, shaking her hand. I brought it to my lips and kissed it.

"See you around... Monica," I said, placing my hand on the side of her head and producing a red rose from behind her ear.

She was delighted, just as my monitor team gave me further instructions.

"Wow, Wallace! You're still quite the ladies' man! Slow down, or I might not have anyone left to marry off!" Fred, my security assistant, complained.

I turned and walked up the stairs. When I reached the top, I was suddenly blocked by large guards. "Excuse me, sir, but this area is off-limits," one of the men said, holding out his hand.

"Is that so? But someone told me there's a restroom here," I replied. He didn't seem to believe me, so I glanced at the woman I had met earlier, Monica.

Only then did he step aside and point to the restroom. I nodded in agreement, but I didn't head to the restroom.

Instead, I went straight to the lobby and entered a room.

"Wallace, we have a new problem. Darcus's security team is taking the pyramid stone," a voice said on the other end of the line. I looked out the window and saw men walking by.

"He's going to sell it at the auction tonight," the voice continued, prompting me to curse.

"Track the suitcase it's in and check its authenticity in case it's fake," I instructed calmly.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door. It was one of my team members, Katie.

"Wallace, I found something. Monica, the woman you met earlier, is Darcus's daughter. And she's in

charge of the auction tonight," she said, handing me a file.
