Fang Ryuu sighed as Lin Yanran pushed his wheelchair through the door to the courtyard.
The courtyard was beautiful; green trees and shrubs clipped into ornamental shapes, a small and serene pond surrounded by polished rocks. The aroma of nature filled his lungs as he inhaled.
It's been four days since he fell into this new planet- Altills, his injuries were slightly better allowing him to use his hands and legs in limited capacity, but he still had to rely on Yanran to help him most of the time.
If everything went as fate had told him in the previous days then he will be fully recovered in another week, but Fate had also told him that his cultivation is being suppressed by the Heavenly Dao to make him a better fit for the role he is to play.
"Husband, what are you thinking so deeply?"
Yanran's gentle and soft voice pulled him out of his thoughts.
"Nothing much, just thinking about the things I will do after I recover."
"Are you going to leave me again after you recover?" She asked, her voice laced with panic but also hiding an unsettling obsession.
Fang Ryuu shuddered; this woman had been diligently taking care of him since he fell here. She was beautiful and gentle. Talking to her helped him calm down and she quickly became his sole shelter in his strange world, though still not completely familiar with her, he developed good feeling for her, but sometimes he felt afraid of her when she acts like she just did even though he was far stronger than this woman.
"What! I will never leave you my dear." He replied as he held her hands. He had discovered that calling her 'dear' as she had said on the first day helped calm her down.
Lin Yanran's plum lips curled upwards in a beautiful smile as she herd her beloved call her dear so endearingly.
"Let's go inside, you need to rest so you can recover soon and then we can go on walks in the city." She said as she pushed his chair inside the house.

"Sister, your new fiancé is here to meet you?" The female disciple informed Bing Mei'ren with schadenfreude.
"Yes." Answered Bing Mei'ren, but there was not much life in her voice.
It's been 49 years since Fang Ryuu sacrificed his life to save her. She had felt confused upon returning to the sect. To add to her worries, her master had engaged her to another man from the Fang Clan.
Time went fast as she hid herself in the clan to avoid the man who would be her new fiancé, the year of the Dragon was coming soon and she planned to hold out as long as she could, but to her surprise the man had come to meet her before their engagement had even taken place.
As Mei'ren laid her eyes on the man her face lit up with joy.
"Long Tian" She called out to him loudly.
The average looking man in black daoist robe with sharp black eyes and black long hair neatly tied with a gold string smiled back at her before he confidently walked towards Mei'ren, standing close to her face.
"Leilei? I finally found you."
The smile on Bing Mei'ren's face changed into a slight frown but she quickly hid it.
'Why's he calling me Leilei like Fang Ryuu. He used to call me senior before.'
"Long Tian how are you?"
The two chatted merrily for a few hours, reminiscing about the adventure where they met. As Bing Mei'ren chatted with Long Tian her worries started to weigh on her less and less, she found herself genuinely smiling after a long time.
Bing Mei'ren sent Long Tian off with a smile, her eyes holding back the tears of disappointment on their parting. Long Tian had been quiet busy since coming to the Lanikea galaxy, he has to prove himself to the Fang Clan's Patriarch that he is fit to be his successor and to bing back his parents to his rightful home.
"Sister I don't like this man."
"hmm?" Bing Mei'ren raised her eyebrow as she looked at her junior sister in question.
"I had the Deacon Nao collect some information about this Long Tian and what he told me surprised me."
Bing Mei'ren waited for her junior sister to continue.
"He hails from the outer rings and is suspected of having close relationships with many female cultivators. He also caused chaos everywhere he goes. HE IS TROUBLE."
"Those are just suspicions, I am sure he will choose me in the end even if he has multiple women right now." She replied with confidence.
While it was not common for top cultivators to have a harem of the opposite sex, Long Tian was far from being a top cultivator and Bing Mei'ren did not want to share the man she will marry with others.
"b-but Fang Ryuu only had eyes for you. He rejected many girls who were ready to be his concubines just because he loved you and only wanted to be with you." Said the junior sister with admiration in her voice.
"Fang Ryuu is gone...Long Tian is better than Fang Ryuu, he will be the top cultivator in the galaxy in the future." Bing Mei'ren closed her eyes as she felt a sudden pang at her heart for belittling Fang Ryuu, but she quickly forced herself to remove his thoughts from her heart.

"Master, how much longer? I can't hold this flame back for much longer." A handsome boy with purple hair and clear black eyes asked out loud, his voice filled with panic.
'Just hold on for a little longer Feng'er' a weak voice resounded inside the young boy's mind.
The Flame of oblivion dimmed as the young boy performed seal after seal with his hands. Each seal dimming the light of the flame until it was finally captured in the jade vial.
"HAH! HAH!" Panted the young boy with exhaustion.
'Feng'er, with this flame you can take your strength from potion level to elixir level. If you keep the power of this flame hidden you will advance much faster than before.'
"Yes Master"
'I'm tired Fen'er. My soul energy is nearly depleted; I will be in slumber for quite a long time. Take care of yourself and don't let anyone find out about the fla' The voice of the old man got weaker by the second before fading out completely.
"Yes Master! Thank you for giving me this chance." The boy with purple hair cried in gratitude.
