Chapter 1 - 1 Wish

"You have one wish, and I have been searching far and wide for one worthy of using this wish. State any wish, without limit whatsoever." Loki cheered, her voice carrying an almost theatrical flourish that echoed through the dimension around them. She watched him with keen, mischievous eyes that sparkled with barely contained excitement, as though she had been waiting an eternity for this very moment to arrive.

The young man before her appeared lost in deep thought, his brow furrowed in concentration as he processed the weight of her words. His mind raced through countless possibilities, each one more ambitious than the last, yet he forced himself to remain calm and gather more information before committing to anything.

"What do you mean by worthy?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper as his gaze settled on the goddess standing before him.

He had expected Loki to be male—every legend he had ever heard, every story passed down through the ages, had painted the trickster god as a man. Yet instead, before him stood a striking woman whose presence commanded attention in ways he hadn't anticipated.

Vibrant green hair cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall of emerald silk, framing features that were both beautiful and dangerous in equal measure. She was, without question, the most attractive being he had ever laid eyes upon.

"The wish I'm going to be using is a treasure of the gods; it's a one-time-use item that shall grant any wish to any mortal, with only a few limitations," Loki spoke with a smile playing at the corners of her lips, clearly savoring the gravity of what she was offering. Her eyes never left his face, studying his reactions with the intensity of a predator watching its prey. "It would erase anyone who dares to use it far from its full potential."

This wasn't merely a gift; it was a test. A challenge that had apparently claimed the existence of countless others who had failed to meet its demands.

"So, this wish wants me to become as overpowered as I can be?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. His eyes gleamed with the spark of someone who had just been handed an opportunity beyond their wildest dreams. "What are the limitations?"

"Limitation number one." Loki raised a single finger, her expression shifting from playful to instructive as she prepared to lay out the rules of this cosmic game.

Her tone took on a more serious quality, though the underlying amusement never fully disappeared from her voice. "One can't wish to be someone or have someone's abilities. For example, you can't wish to have a Saiyan bloodline, or even a Goku template, or such things. The wish has to be something unique—something that belongs to you and you alone—although it can certainly be influenced by outside concepts and draw inspiration from existing powers."

"Limitation number two." A second finger rose to join the first, and she continued without missing a beat. "One can't wish for strength directly. For example, one can't wish to have the power to lift mountains or the ability to shatter continents with a single blow. But then again, they can wish to have an ability called Mountain Lift, which would allow them to lift mountains and such. "

"Limitation number three." A third finger rose, and her smile took on a slightly sharper edge. "One's wish can't affect anyone else directly. You can't wish for anyone's death, or for someone to fall hopelessly in love with you, or for your enemies to kneel before you in submission. But you can wish to have an ability that allows you to kill anyone you choose, or possess looks so captivating that anyone who beholds you would find themselves drawn to you irresistibly. Again, the distinction lies in the method rather than the outcome."

"Limitation number four." The fourth finger joined the others, and Loki's expression grew more contemplative as she explained this particular restriction. "You only have one wish; you can't wish for more than one. Even a clever loophole like wishing for a magical paper that would grant any wish written upon it wouldn't work. The same applies to trying to cram more than one wish into a single sentence through creative phrasing. However," she added, a glint of encouragement entering her eyes, "you can certainly reword your wish creatively to make it function exactly as you desire. The treasure rewards ingenuity, not greed."

"Lastly," Loki said, lowering her hand and allowing it to fall gracefully to her side, "you can't wish for omnipotence and such absolute concepts. So you can't wish to be all-powerful, to transcend the boundaries of existence itself, to hold dominion over all creation, or to achieve any other form of true omnipotence."

She paused, tilting her head thoughtfully to one side as a contemplative expression crossed her beautiful features. "Although I believe there might be a way around this particular limitation, but I myself cannot think of such a method. Perhaps you'll prove more creative than I."

"I see…" He fell silent for a long moment, his mind working through the constraints she had laid before him. Each limitation was a wall, but within those walls existed infinite possibilities for someone clever enough to exploit them.

Already, a wish was forming in his thoughts—something that had been lurking in the back of his mind long before this fateful encounter, something he had dreamed about during countless sleepless nights.

"Can I state my wish then?" he asked, a new confidence entering his voice that hadn't been there before.

At this, Loki nodded, a flicker of anticipation crossing her features that she made no effort to conceal. This was the moment she had been waiting for—the reason she had searched across countless realms and examined innumerable candidates before finally settling on him. She gestured for him to proceed with an elegant wave of her hand while simultaneously summoning forth a star that materialized between them.

The celestial object hovered in the air with a gentle, pulsing radiance that cast dancing shadows across their surroundings. It was small enough to fit in the palm of one's hand, yet the power contained within its luminous form was beyond anything mortal minds could truly comprehend. This was the vessel that would grant any wish—the divine treasure she had spoken of with such reverence.

"I wish to be reborn as a Primordial Chaos Monkey King. This is a race that transcends all other races, born with powers and abilities that are unrivaled throughout all of existence. The first ability is…" And so he went on, listing every ability this race possessed in meticulous, exhaustive detail.

He described powers that defied logic, capabilities that transcended the boundaries of what should be possible, and potential that seemed to have no ceiling whatsoever. With each passing moment, with each new ability added to the ever-growing list, Loki's mouth fell further open in undisguised shock. Her composure—the carefully maintained mask of the trickster goddess—slipped away entirely as the sheer scope and ambition of his wish became apparent.

And to her utter astonishment, the star hovering before them began to cry. Tears of pure light streamed down from the celestial object.

[Your wish has exceeded what the Omnipotence Wish Star could grant. You have shattered the star's pride, making it cry.]

The star continued to weep tears of pure, radiant light that fell like crystalline droplets into the void below, each one containing more power than most mortal civilizations would ever witness in their entire existence.

"Wait, you don't need to grant the full might of that race off the bat." He held up his hands in a placating gesture, his mind racing to salvage the situation before the opportunity slipped through his fingers entirely. A smile crossed his features as a solution presented itself with remarkable clarity.

"I don't know, have it so I can gain the weaker version of the race, and in the meantime, I get a weaker version of the abilities it grants. You do part of the work, and I will finish the rest."

The star paused for a second, its weeping ceasing abruptly as it seemed to consider his words. The pulsing light that emanated from its form flickered uncertainly, as though the ancient treasure was processing this unexpected compromise with great care.

[You have cheered up the Omnipotence Wish Star, and have gained its favor. The now humbled Omnipotence Wish Star has granted your wish, and you shall slowly work towards awakening the wish's full potential.]
