Seeing his eyes glued to Holly Winslow, Mortimer Quincy looked displeased. He opened his mouth to say, "Bac—"
Holly Winslow quickly tugged his hand, cutting him off. She then turned to Xavier Jennings. "Yeah."
The boy beside her scoffed.
Holly Winslow: "..."
When Anna Willow and Iris Kensington saw Xavier Jennings's ears turn red, they shot Holly a wicked grin and wiggled their eyebrows. Holly gave them both a warning pinch.
Just then, Xavier Jennings scratched his head and greeted Mortimer Quincy, his expression a little sheepish as he tried to curry favor. "Hey, Cousin."
If that guy Mortimer actually answered him, he wouldn't be Mortimer. To avoid the awkwardness, Holly quickly greeted Julian Carlton at the classroom door. "Mr. Carlton."
Mr. Carlton, standing at the door, responded warmly. He then called her to his office to discuss something, leaving Anna Willow, Iris Kensington, and Mortimer Quincy to wait outside.
