After the light, gentle kiss, Aiden Shaw's lips brushed almost imperceptibly against her nose. His sensual voice emerged on a hot breath. "I'll go get you a coat. It's about time we left."
"The pink one on the sofa."
"Okay."
Aiden Shaw straightened up, strode to the sofa, and brought the coat over, helping her put it on. Then he bent down, scooped her up into his arms, and headed outside.
The whole group followed them downstairs, cheering and teasing.
"Mom, Dad, you should get in the car too."
Aiden Shaw stopped, still holding Laura Lowell, and spoke respectfully.
Maeve Miller straightened the coat on Laura Lowell. "Turn on the heat as soon as you get in the car. You're not dressed warmly enough; you can't let yourself get chilled."
"I know, Mom. It's about time, so let's head out."
