The young woman gazed softly at Aiden Shaw, her russet-colored lips curled into a lovely smile. In that moment, it was no exaggeration to say she looked like a fairy who had stepped right out of a classic poem.
Dr. Ward was one of the groomsmen, and he felt like the luckiest man alive to be at his goddess's wedding.
"Dr. Hale, could you take a picture of me with my goddess?"
Dr. Ward handed his phone to Hannah Hale and spoke in a hushed voice. He had wanted a photo with Laura at the hospital before, but a certain someone had nipped that idea in the bud.
"Sure," Hannah Hale said, taking the phone. She looked at Dr. Ward, who was standing a good six feet away from the bride. "Get a little closer."
"No, no, no… It's perfectly fine like this."
Hannah Hale didn't know whether to laugh or cry. 'This guy must be traumatized by Aiden Shaw.'
"Laura, we should get going."
