"Okay," the child said, grinning.
She pillowed her head on Cecilia Adler's arm and closed her eyes.
Cecilia told her the story of the Seven Fairies and Dong Yong. Halfway through, the child fell asleep.
Seeing this, Cecilia turned off the light and went to bed.
She slept until she woke up naturally.
When she woke, the child was no longer in the room. She called out a few times and found out that the little girl had just left for school with her father-in-law.
Cecilia muttered to herself, 'My father-in-law has been quite diligent these past two days.'
'Is he planning to pry into my affairs through the child?'
