Titus Shaw was thrilled that his suggestion for the name had been accepted. "Then it's settled." He paused, his expression complex. "Your grandfather isn't doing well. Your third brother told me he's been asking to see you lately. Will you come with me to see him tomorrow? It might really be the last time."
"It's not like I've never seen him before. Don't ruin the mood on such a happy occasion," Cecilia Adler said bluntly.
Other members of the Shaw family or outsiders might accuse her of being cold and heartless.
Her own grandfather was on his deathbed, yet as his granddaughter, she refused to even see him one last time.
But from her perspective, she didn't think she was in the wrong. 'He made himself sick with grief over Ruth Shaw. If he dies, it's because she angered him to death. It has nothing to do with me, so why should I grant his request to see him?'
