Gene Rhodes lowered his gaze to her arm, then looked back at her. The moment their eyes met, he quickly looked away.
She was only two years younger than him, yet she was already pregnant.
'How could her partner be so inconsiderate of her health?'
He hesitated for a moment before taking her pulse.
Strong and vigorous.
Her constitution was as robust as an ox. It was the first time he had ever felt such a powerful pulse.
'Did I read it wrong?'
He switched to her other wrist. The pulses were different, but this one was even stronger.
'She must be incredibly strong. One punch could probably shatter three bricks.'
No wonder that couple last time froze like scared quails the moment she raised her fist. They had probably suffered a beating from her iron fists more than a few times.
She was about a month and a half pregnant.
But looking at her face, you couldn't see the slightest hint of pregnancy.
