The courtyard fell silent.
Cecilia Adler felt a little awkward. "I'm just going out for a walk." She headed outside.
Her gaze landed on Theresa Sheridan and her family, her eyes turning cold. She only snapped out of it when the child ran up and took her hand.
"Mama, I'll go with you."
"We walked for most of the day. Aren't you tired?" Cecilia Adler wanted some time to herself.
"I'm all better now that I've had a nap!"
Cecilia Adler couldn't bring herself to refuse a child. "Oh."
The child, as if sensing her bad mood, followed along quietly.
About ten meters from the gate, Theresa Sheridan, who was at the front of the group, suddenly turned around. Seeing Cecilia heading in her direction, she immediately rushed back, her face alight with excitement.
"Cecilia, have you come around?"
Cecilia Adler's expression flickered and her eyes grew cold. She nodded, pulling out her wallet and flashing her wealth. "I've come around. I can give you the money."
