Cecilia Adler didn't spare her a glance. She walked into the study, shut the door, and locked it from the inside.
She had only just sat down.
A knock sounded at the door.
"Girlie." It was Aunt Tate's voice.
Cecilia Adler didn't answer.
Aunt Tate rolled her eyes. 'I don't believe you can go without sleep,' she thought. She returned to Nick Hughes's side and whispered in his ear.
Nick Hughes's eyes lit up with desire, but then he asked worriedly, "But she's engaged. If we do this, will her fiancé's family let it go?"
"Just tell me if you're into her or not."
"Of course I am. I'm into both sisters."
Aunt Tate chuckled. "You brat. In your dreams. I'll go turn off the lights first. You go sleep in her room. When she comes back, you know what to do, understand?"
Nick Hughes was both excited and scared. "Mom, what if she resists and screams? If she attracts outsiders, will I be arrested as a hoodlum?"
