"This isn't about me cutting you a break. You've already missed your chance." Dominic Thorne toyed with the ring on his finger. He appeared nonchalant, but he had been observing his surroundings and Carls's men the entire time.
"Young Master Thorne, letting things get this hostile is no good for either of us," Carls said, his expression grave. There was a hint of a plea in his eyes.
Dominic Thorne pulled a lighter from his breast pocket, picked up the documents on the table, and set them alight. He stared provocatively at Carls through the golden flames. "This changes nothing for me. We don't do business with untrustworthy people in the arms trade." With that, he viciously slammed the half-burned contract onto the ground.
