Chapter 4 - Anherel Fortress

"Hello!"

After subduing the Swift Wolf, Zhang Yun turned around and greeted Allegra with a smile.

Allegra stared blankly at Zhang Yun, unsure how to describe the surprise in her heart.

"Hmm?" Seeing her looking at him in surprise, Zhang Yun cast a Water Mirror spell to examine himself.

He looked incredibly handsome, with light golden hair, a fair and handsome face, features resembling those of an elf, a well-fitting yet magically powerful magic robe, and the vicious servant Gale Wolf at his feet. This look was quite stylish!

"Ah?" Allegra exclaimed softly. "Hello, mage! My name is Allegra-Silanri. Thank you for saving me!" She bowed courteously.

"It's alright, just a level seven magical beast!" Zhang Yun waved his hand. "May I ask where this place is?"

Now he was done with the this mess, he could finally try to figure out where he was!.

Allegra gave him a strange look. He didn't even know about the renowned Anherel Mountains?

Fortunately, Allegra didn't think much of it. "Sir Mage, this is the outer edge of the Anherel Mountains. May I ask, are you here for training?"

"Huh? Anherel?" Zhang Yun felt a little dizzy. There was no such place name in the Magic and Martial Arts World. Could it be that he had transmigrated? And as a game character at that?

Having gained some understanding, Zhang Yun began to accept the situation. After thinking it over in his mind, he made up some more information to complete his identity before saying, "I guess you could call it a training experience! The old man at home used a random teleportation spell to send me out here for training, so I'm still a little dizzy!"

"Oh right, I haven't introduced myself yet!"

In this unfamiliar world, Zhang Yun decided to use his character name from the game Magic and Martial Arts World to avoid his original name seeming out of place.

"My name is Vincent Augustine, beautiful Miss Allegra. Could you please tell me about the Anherel Mountains?"

Zhang Yun, oh, that is, Vincent Augustine, asked in a gentlemanly manner.

"Great, Mr. Mage!" Allegra began chattering as she introduced Anherel.

The Anherel Mountains are famous throughout the world of Krentia. They are rich in various potion ingredients, alchemy materials, and magical beast resources, and countless adventure teams and mercenary groups make a living here year-round.

Legend has it that dragons live deep within the Anherel Mountains, which more or less ignites the passion of some young people to become dragon-slaying warriors.

As for the outcome, it's most likely to be, being slaughtered by the dragon! She chuckled.

The two walked and talked, allowing Vincent to understand that the world of Krentia and the world of magic and martial arts were both similar and different, but in both cases, the strong were respected and the weak were enslaved!

"Master, where do you wish to go now?" Allegra asked.

Huh!!

Vincent was quite exasperated by Allegra's sudden way of addressing him. He had already told her that his name was Vincent Augustine, but Allegra insisted on calling him "Mr. Mage" or "Master" and refused to change her way of addressing him!

"I don't know yet, let's just take it one step at a time! Anyway, it doesn't matter where we go for training!"

Allegra's eyes lit up, and she said cheerfully, "Since it's all the same wherever we go, why don't you come to my house, Master?"

"Your home?" Vincent glanced at her. He wasn't so narcissistic as to think that Allegra had fallen in love with him at first sight. She probably just wanted to thank him for saving her life.

Since we have nowhere else to go, it wouldn't hurt to go to Allegra's house with her.

"Alright! I'll go check out your place!" He jumped onto the broad back of the Swift Gale Wolf and said to Allegra, "Get on, are you planning to walk to your house?"

Allegra looked at the Swift Wolf with some fear, but finally mustered up the courage to climb onto its back.

"Let's go! Destination: Allegra's home!"

The Swift Wolf charged out in a flash, catching Allegra off guard and causing her to fall into Vincent's arms. Still a young girl, Allegra had never experienced anything like this before, her head was spinning, and her face was flushed.

The Gale Wolf is a wind-attribute magical beast, and given its level seven status, equivalent to a legendary human powerhouse, its speed was undeniably fast.

After running for half an hour, having completely left the Anherel Mountains, Vincent suddenly remembered a serious problem.

"Allegra, where do you live?"

"ah?"

"Stop!"

The four or five-meter-tall Swift Wolf suddenly stopped and asked in confusion, "Master, have we arrived?"

"Idiot!" Vincent ignored it. "Allegra, which direction does your house face?"

Allegra blushed, took out a small magical artifact, and after infusing it with magic, the compass-like artifact pointed in a direction.

"Follow the spatial beacon, and you'll get home." Allegra handed the spatial beacon to Vincent, then lowered her head, her face flushed with embarrassment.

During the journey, Vincent, fearing she would fall, held her in his arms, which made Allegra's heart pound. She felt so nervous that she could hardly breathe, her mind went blank, as if she had lost the ability to think!

"Hmm" Vincent noticed something was wrong with the girl in his arms, but decided to pretend he didn't know to avoid embarrassment.

"Let's go, head east!"

"Master, which way is east?" Although the Gale Wolf had gained intelligence, it was still a magical beast after all. How could it possibly know which way was east?

"Uh...this way!" Vincent pointed to the east, and then the Gale Wolf took off on all fours, moving at lightning speed.

As they headed east, the number of pedestrians gradually increased, all of them appearing to be Westerners. This further confirmed Vincent's belief in the fact that he had traveled through time, and he felt a sense of melancholy.

On the main road, a small group of three people were walking slowly. All three were middle-aged and were discussing their gains from the trip and how to divide them up when they returned.

"Huh? Boss, I sense a powerful magical fluctuation rapidly approaching!" the middle-aged man with a short beard said with a wary look in his eyes.

The middle-aged man at the head of the group was carrying a staff, and the medals on his robes indicated that he was a junior high-level mage!

"Third Brother is right, a powerful magical fluctuation is indeed approaching! Be vigilant, but don't show any hostility. Hopefully, it's not coming for us!"

"Boss, if they're coming for us, I'll hold them off. You and Third Brother, run!" The man was wearing leather armor, holding a two-handed greatsword. His face was resolute, and the medal he wore indicated he was a mid-level upper-tier warrior.

The middle-aged man at the head of the group frowned deeply. "Second brother, you can't stop them! We can only hope they're not coming for us!"

In the distance, a cloud of dust rose, and the magical fluctuations emanated from that cloud.

"That's right!" The third brother was a magic archer, known for his sharp eyes!

"A level seven magical beast! That's a level seven magical beast! Get out of the way!"

The third brother exclaimed in surprise, "A level seven magical beast! That's a legendary powerhouse! How could it appear on a continent opened up by humans?"

The leader's eyes narrowed sharply. Unlike Vincent, who was a monster with a large number of magic scrolls, an ordinary high-level mage would run away the moment they saw a level seven magical beast. There was no surprise in that!

"Wait!" the third brother shouted again, "Boss, that Gale Wolf, there's someone on its back!"

"Someone's riding on its.…back?" the leader asked in surprise.

"A young couple is indeed riding on its back!" the third brother confirmed.

The leader felt slightly relieved; a beast with an owner was much safer. As for the treasures they had acquired, they didn't think they could attract a powerful individual with a level seven beast as a mount.

"Be careful to avoid them, lest you get hurt by that monster and have nowhere to complain!" After giving the order, the leader led the way to the side of the road.

As Vincent sped past on the back of the Gale Wolf, he suddenly sensed a familiar magical fluctuation as he passed the group of three.

"Um?"

Vincent glanced at the three men and gave them a meaningful smile.

More than ten minutes later, a magnificent city stood between two mountain peaks, completely blocking the road through the mountains.

This was Allegra's home.
