Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

"What's wrong, sis?" Jeslin asked when she saw Jena close her eyes.

Jena raised her hand to signal Jeslin to be quiet. A few moments later, Jena opened her eyes and sighed. She didn't want to get involved in a conflict with anyone, but seeing two young men being beaten up together made her conscience unable to let them be.

"Jeslin, there's a fight to the west. It's up to you whether we help or not," Jena finally decided.

"Who's fighting, sis?"

"Two young men are being beaten up by a group of people dressed in black," Jena replied flatly.

"Then let's help them. We are fellow human beings and must help each other even if we don't know each other," said Jeslin enthusiastically, clenching her small fist.

"Whatever. Get your weapons ready," ordered Jena as she took out her favorite sword and slung it on her back.

"Okay, sis," replied Jeslin as she took her trusty bow, with a dagger tucked into her waist.

"Use these," said Jena, handing them veils to cover their faces. She didn't want to get involved any further after helping the two young men.

"Yes, sis," replied Jeslin obediently, putting on the veil.

They immediately headed west towards where the fight was taking place.

"Hurry before they die!"

Jena and Jeslin ran using their body lightening skills. Soon, they arrived at the location. Jena immediately threw a secret star-shaped weapon to ward off the black-clad man's attack when one of the young men was about to be stabbed in the chest.

Triing!

Triing!

Jleb!

Jena managed to kill the black-clad man. Meanwhile, Jeslin shot several people with her bow to help the other young man who was overwhelmed by the many enemies.

The two young men were surprised to be suddenly saved. They turned to look for their savior.

"Are you okay? Be careful!" Jena said briefly to the young man named Aslan, then immediately turned to face another enemy without waiting for an answer.

"Don't let your guard down! I'll help from behind!" Jeslin shouted to the other young man, Arthur.

Aslan was transfixed watching the veiled girl move nimbly against many enemies. Her movements were fast and graceful, as if dancing with a sword, taking down opponents one by one. Arthur was also amazed by Jeslin's archery skills and dagger play.

Aslan is actually the crown prince of the Kingdom of Janur, who is undercover to investigate a case. Together with his twin brother, Arthur, who serves as a war general, they are ambushed by a group of men in black who are suspected of trying to kill them.

Aslan would have been able to fight back if he hadn't been suffering from a long-standing injury. Because of this, he couldn't use his full strength. On the other hand, Arthur was also busy fighting enemies and couldn't help him. The two of them were overwhelmed by a force equal in strength to an elite army.

Damn! Who are they? thought Aslan.

Arthur saw Aslan being cornered as a sword was aimed at his brother's body.

"Aslan, watch out!" shouted Arthur.

Arthur wanted to help, but he was also being attacked. Fortunately, at the last second, someone saved Aslan. With the help of the two veiled girls, they managed to fight back and kill all the men in black.

Aslan and Arthur sat on the ground, breathing heavily. They didn't find any identification on the attackers, but Arthur suspected they were elite soldiers assigned to kill them.

Aslan and Arthur's bodies were covered in serious wounds and should have been treated immediately, but they still intended to return to the Kingdom of Althias to report to the Emperor.

"Miss, thank you for saving us," Aslan said sincerely.

"My name is Aslan, and this is my twin brother, Arthur," he continued without mentioning their status.

Jena nodded.

"Your wounds are quite severe, especially yours," Jena said, pointing at Aslan. With her inner eye, she could see the deep wounds that had not healed for a long time.

"If left untreated, you could bleed to death," she added flatly.

"Sis, why don't you treat them? Don't help them halfway. Remember Dad's message," Jeslin said in surprise.

Jena sighed resignedly.

"That's not necessary. We'll find a doctor in the city," Aslan replied awkwardly.

"Never mind. Let's sit under that tree," Jena finally said. The air in the western part of the forest was quite hot because it was an open field. With difficulty, Arthur helped Aslan walk, while Jena and Jeslin walked ahead.

"Take off your clothes," Jena said flatly.

Aslan and Arthur looked at each other, their faces reddening. They felt embarrassed to take off their clothes in front of a woman.

Jena looked at them in surprise. "I have to stitch up your wounds. How can I help you if you don't take off your clothes?"

"Sis, I think they're embarrassed," whispered Jeslin with a smile.

"Do you want help or not? Hurry up," said Jena coldly.

"You'd better just do it. Your wounds are serious. If I treat them, you'll be better in two days," added Jeslin.

Finally, Aslan took off his clothes first. His face and ears turned red. Jena saw a deep cut on Aslan's stomach. She touched it gently, making Aslan close his eyes to feel her soft touch.

"The wound is quite deep. Lie down," said Jena.

A box of medicine appeared beside him. Jena prepared to cover Aslan's eyes.

"I don't need to be covered. I want to see how you treat it," asked Aslan, gently holding Jena's arm.

"All right. Don't be surprised, and don't ask questions," Jena reminded him.

Aslan nodded slowly.
