"Ashh! Ashley! Ashley!" Selena screamed as she pounded furiously on the bedroom door. "You better open this door right now! I know you are inside, and you are going to give me an explanation. If you don't open this door this instant, I'll ask your father to break it down!"
Her voice echoed through the house as she continued banging on the door without stopping.
"Open this door! Do you hear me, Ashley?"
The loud knocking finally came to an end when the door was yanked open from the inside with so much force that Selena almost stumbled headfirst into the room. She barely managed to steady herself before glaring at her daughter.
Ashley stood there with messy hair, her eyes heavy with sleep. She rubbed her face tiredly and frowned at her mother, clearly irritated at being woken up.
