When Ashley got home, she headed straight for the bathroom without saying a single word to either of her parents.
Her clothes landed on the floor one after another as she stepped beneath the steaming shower, scrubbing her skin repeatedly until it turned red.
No matter how hard she washed, she still felt as though the smell of the previous night clung stubbornly to her body.
She shut her eyes tightly."It's over," she whispered to herself.
It was just one night. One horrible night.
She had money now. That was all that mattered.
She had crossed the line she once swore she never would, but there was no point regretting it anymore. She had debts to settle, a luxurious lifestyle to maintain, and she refused to become poor.
If she wanted to survive... If she wanted to return to the top...
Then she would simply go back. Again. And again.
Ashley clenched her fists. "I don't care anymore."
