Lying on the bed, even though Yugh's eyes were fixed on the ceiling, his mind was completely trapped in Zahra's words. After a moment or two, his hand slowly reached for the final page brought from the drawer. It was the third and last page from Zahra's diary that had been missing and was now found. š
With trembling hands, he picked it up and began to read.

Yesterday, after meeting Zayan and returning home, she threatened me. She saw us together. She had been listening to everything we said. Though she had shown a good face for years, I saw her demonic face yesterday. š
She threatened meāif I go back to Zayan, she will kill me. What she values most is her pride. More than even her own family. At any time, very soon, she could kill me.
I'm afraid⦠for the child inside me. š
When the page ended, Yugh's eyes widened. His breath became labored. Until now, the mismatched events, words, and memories in his mind all began to align into a single line.
"Zahra⦠who is this 'she' you're talking about?" he wondered to himself silently.
Is it Zayan's wife,Anisa?
Orā¦someone else? š²
As his thoughts delved deeper, the words the police inspector had told him a while ago suddenly surfaced in his memory. Those words still echoed in his ears as clearly as that day.
"Mr. Singh⦠it looks like a natural accident where your wife's vehicle skidded down a cliff while she was with another man due to rainy weather. But⦠there are also things that make it look like a planned murder."
"One thing isā¦the brake wires of the vehicle appear to have been cut." š„
Those words clashing repeatedly in Yugh's mind brought him a new fear and an unresolved curiosity. Zahra's fear, the last words she wrote, and her sudden deathāwere all these things a coincidence?
Or⦠something planned? š¤
He slowly sat up on the bed, gripping all three diary pages tightly. Pain and guilt were simultaneously burning in his heart.
"I'm not going to let this goā¦" Yugh muttered to himself, coming to a firm decision.
"While managing my dutiesā¦I will somehow find out what really happened to Zahra, who this 'she' is." š
Zahra's words, the final page she wrote in fear, had now unknowingly steered Yugh's life in an irreversible direction. š
