By the time she reached the train station, the evening sky had taken on a faint grey hue. Anisa picked up her travel bag and walked slowly along the platform. Though her parents had bid her farewell and turned back, her mind remained in that house. š
When the train arrived, she chose a window seat. With the sound of the engine, the train began to move slowly forward.
Scenery flowed past the window; tall trees, small houses, distant mountains, and fields. It all streamed by, as if to make the confusion inside her more defined. š
"I agree."
Those words echoed again and again in her ears.
Had she truly agreed from her heart? Or from guilt? Or from the fear of "still being alone"? š„
Hasan's face hadn't even clearly formed in her mind. What she knew of him were just the details from her parents: a good man, a respectable, stable lifeā¦
"Is that all?" she asked herself. š
It was at that moment that what surfaced in her thoughts wasā¦ Yugh.
His silent demeanor over the past days, his anger, and yet, that final moment when he saved herā¦ Even though he had said, "It wasn't anything special because it was you," his actions had spoken louder. š
"Did they do anything else to you?" The way he had asked that replayed in her mind.
Anisa rested her head against the window. Her eyes grew moist, but she didn't let the tears fall, taking a deep breath instead.
"Do I even have time to think again?" she wondered silently. š¤
The train was rapidly approaching the city. The AZ Art Studio, the busy days, andā¦ Yugh awaited her.
There, she understood one thing: her agreement was given, but her heart had made no decision. š„
As the train slowed to enter the city station, only one question churned within Anisa's mind:
"Am I heading towards a new life, or am I running towards an escape from the truth?"
