Chapter 8 - A City Underground!

The three ran in the dimly light cave Aarav Carrington Riya on his back.

"Here turn this corner!" Shouted Kabir.

This was the place where Aarav went separately to find Riya who was shouting for help.

"From, here it is a straight path!" Sameer said.

Riya noticed how fast they ran and recalled what Aarav had told her, about getting chased by a giant hyena and an army of robots.

'How can they run so fast even thought they should be so tired from running nonstop! Are they monsters!'

"Now, why are we in a hurry?!" Aarav asked. "Is it that important?!"

Sameer offended about to tell Aarav "I... umm..." He stoped unable to answer him.

Kabir continued for Sameer "We don't know! But, I do know that what ever it was it is something very important. Maybe a way out or..." He paused and said. "Our doom!"

"Then why the he'll are we going there if it can possibly lead us to doom?!" Riya exclaimed.

Sameer with a sad expression said "I can't answer that properly..." He paused, collecting his thoughts and said "But I feel like, that place is calling me. The atmosphere felt like I entered into something far beyond this world...."

Kabir answered "May be a different world or reality."

Aarav now excited said "Now I am more curious to see that place!"

'I can belive the other two can be humans but this guy is for sure a monster!' She thought to herself referring Aarav. 'He is crazy he is Carrington me and running and is keeping up with the two, at the same time the three are talking to eachouther, not to mention he told me he died once and saw me and the others dead as well in that ice! What is he?!' He panicked inside not knowing what to do as he is Carring her.

'Aaaa! What kind of mess have I goten my self into?! Ho, GOD!'

After a long run they had finally reached their destination.

"We are finally here!" Kabir announced and in front of the four was a magnificent crater inside the cave.

Greenery everywere, patches of moss and small plants grew near them.

They seemed to be standing before a cliff. In the corners of the crater was four giant statues of three men and one women in each corner in different direction leaned against the walls an each one was as tall as the place could be.

They each carried different weapon. One statue which was to the far left holded an axe on its right and shield on its left.

The one that was near left of them was a women's statue which holded a weapon that looked like is was floting in air, it was whip like weapon, but it looked like a tree's root used as a whip.

The statue to the right near them holded a giant Hamer which was slammed to the ground by one hand while standing straight against the wall and what looked like small mountains came out of the earth where the hammer was, making the effect of the statue truely smashing the earth look more realistic.

The last one to the far right had a bow, but what wieard about this one was that it was not leaned against the wall instead it stood still it's bow drawn pointed at the middle and a halo engraved at the wall behind the statue making it look more divine than the other statues.

'These statues... they are holding the same kind of weapons l saw the headless man hold. What are they?' Aarav thought to himself.

Bellow the statues was what looked like a human sattlemnt, in the middle there was huge building that looked like an stage? They were unsure as it was broken and looked very old.

The entire village looked old.

The houses were small, moss and ivy had grown on many houses.

In the middle was somek8nd of stadium or stage which had a huge carving on It's floor.

The symbol is etched into cracked stone floor, worn by age.

At the outermost edge, there is a thick circular ring, slightly uneven, as if carved by hand and weathered over centuries.

The circle is complete, forming a sealed boundary.

Inside the circle sits a diamond shape, its four points touching the inner edge of the ring at the top, bottom, left, and right.

The diamond's lines are straight, sharp, and symmetrical, contrasting with the rough stone beneath it.

At the center of the diamond, there is a smaller circle, perfectly round and hollow, like an opening or socket.

It is framed by a thin raised rim, making it stand out from the rest of the carving.

From the center circle, four straight lines extend outward, aligned with the diamond's points.

Aarav's ans Riya's mouth droped and Riya asked "What... what is this place?"

Kabir answered her "It is probably the humans who lived here a long time ago build these things."

"We should probably go down and look around." Aarav suggested as he placed Riya on the ground.

"Are you nuts!" Sameer protested "Who knows what lurks there, there can be another one of those beasts!"

Kabir backed up Aarav "You are not wrong Sameer, but tell me is there any other way that we can get out of this place through?"

Sameer was still worried "But still..."

Riya intrupted him and said "I think we should go down there and explore maybe we can find a way out. Instead of dying of hunger, we might even find food."

At that moment Sameer's stomach growled. He clutched his stomach out of embarrassment.

"Alright then let's get down!" He announced trying to change the topic.

Aarav now alarming close to the edge looked down and said "But how are we get down though? It looks like a very deep fall. We might not survive it if we jumped off."

Sameer calmly pointed to the obvious slope pathway that was attached to the wall leeding to one of the statue.

There were three more like that, each leading to a statue. Aarav had completely missed that.

Now embarrassed he exclaimed "Ho!"

"Okay! Let's get down there!" He said energetically and went first down the slope.

Riya pointed towards Aarav who was now heading first down the slope, looked at Sameer and Kabir and asked "Will he be okay?" She worried about Aarav.

Aarav looked behind to see the three still standing there.

"Hey! What are you three still doing there. Come fast!" He shouted.

Sameer and Kabir looked at eachother and at Raiya, then said in unison "He will be alright."

"Hey!" Aarav shouted again.

"Yeah! We are coming Aarav!" Kabir replied and moved down the slope.

Sameer soon followed him and asked Riya "Could you walk down on your own?" Out of concern for her.

"No need to worry! I feel a lot better now!" She said and jumped to prove her point.

The four then got down the slope, neat the statue of the person holding the giant Hammer.

When Sameer looked at the Rocks emerging from the ground he exclaimed "Wow! Upclose these statues craftsmanship is amazing!"

He touched the rocks feeling the textures left behind while it was sculpted.

Then he realised something. "This statue was made out of one whole rock!" He closed his eyes and hummed an excited squealed like a 5 year old kid who had found his favorite toy and shouted "This is an incredible sculpture! I truely want to meet that person who sculpted this!"

"Alright, alright, hold on to your horses, Sameer!" Aarav tried to calm down the high blood pressure running through Sameer's body out of excitement.

"Let's go to the middle." Kabir declared and headed that direction.

Riya and Aarav followed behind him. Sameer who was being left behind for focusing too much on the statue looked at the three leaving him.

Realizing what is going on and shouted "Hey! Wait for me! Don't leave me behind!" Then ran to catch up with them.

As they walked through the old ruined village. The houses old and died to no maintenance crumbled to time.

Many houses were half destroyed and plants growing on It's walls.

"Wow!" Riya exclaimed "These houses are made up of dry mud and bricks for walls and straws for roof. These must be a thousand year old or so."

They went to the middle to the stage they saw from the top.

"This thing us massive!" Sameer said shocked by the size of the thing "It can probably fit 500 people in it easily."

"What is this thing thought?" Kabir asked unsure of what to call it.

"This looks like a stage of some sort." Riya answered.

"Stage?" Aarav asked "But what would they need a stage thus huge for?"

"Don't know" Sameer said bluntly not carring about that. "Let's look around for food I am starving. Since plants are growing there should be some plans that can bear fruits." All he cared about was to satisfy his hunger.

Aarav noticed there was some kind of carvings on the stage floor.

The grooves are deep enough to cast shadows, giving the symbol depth and weight.

Aarav did not mind Sameer's worry and bent down to look at the carving more clearly.

"Umm... guys..." He touched the writings, "these carving look very old..." at that time the cravings started glowing and along with it his Cresent moon pendent also glowed.

The other's ornaments also glowed. Sameer's hammer pendent, Kabir's armlets and Riya's bangles.

"Hey! What... what have you done?!" Kabir shouted unsure what Aarav just did.

The four statues glowed in some kind of circuit patern connecting eachother and the satage. The axe-shield statue had circuits which was a mix of silver and red, the female's statue with purple circuits, The hammer holding statue had a bright yellow-gold light of circuits.

Finally the statue holding the bow, the only one having a halo behind had dark black circuits.

The crucuids appered on the statues crawled It's way through the village to the stage connecting to the cravings making it glow even brighter.

The lights from their ornaments grew brighter and every thing was consumed by that light.

"Aaa! So much bright!" Riya shouted.

"Aaa! My eyes!" Sameer shouted.

"Quick! Cover you eyes!" Kair shouted and covered his eye.

Aarav also covered his eyes, but he felt dizzy.

"I... I feel... dizzy..." abd he fell the other three also fell unconscious.
