The Tale Of Korra

『For 100 years, there was a war that was started by the fire, Nation. With the help of his closest allies, Avatar Aang was able to bring a stop to the war. Along with the help of the firelord Zuko, they managed to make a city known as Republic City that allowed several people from all different nations to live in harmony. Several years have passed since the end of the war, and the time of Avatar Aang has come to an end. Now, we embark on the tail of the new Avatar. Avatar Korra.』 (In the Southern Water Tribe, in the Fortress) Korra: *blasts a fire ball towards Alee* Alee: *dodges as he faces her* That was so close to burning my face off! Korra: *she giggles as she Earth bends the ground beneath him in hopes of catching him* Katara: *watching their training from a far* I believe she's ready to learn Air bending Alee: *lands on his back* Yeah? Korra: *splashes his face with water* So Tenzin's coming today, right? Alee: *slowly gets up onto his feet* Katara: *nods* Yes, he is. Korra: *punches Alee back to the floor in excitement* I'm so ready! [Hours pass, Tenzin, along with his family, arrive on the back of a flying bison.] Tenzin: *helps his wife, Pema, off of the bison* Korra: *jittering excitedly as she looks at them* Ikki and Jinora: *both wave at Korra and Alee* Meelo: *jumps off of the Sky bison to face Alee* We made it! Katara: *lifts up Meelo with a smile on her face* Meelo: *begins to fidget in Katara's grasp* Unhand me lady. Tenzin: *completely helps Pema off of the sky bison* Meelo, that's your grandmother. *he faces Katara* Hello, mom. Pema: *holds her pregnant belly* Katara: *smiles* Hello Tenzin. *she lets go of Meelo* Are you ready to help Korra with her airbending? Korra: *facing him with a smile on her face* Alee: *smiles at the sight of Korra's excitement* Tenzin: Unfortunately I won't be able to help her train… Korra: *stops smiling* Wait what?! Tenzin: Unfortunately, Republic City needs me, so I'll only be here for one night only. Korra: *walks away furiously* I can't believe this! Alee: Korra, wait! *follows her* Katara: Have you tried to ask Karu to help her instead? Tenzin: Unfortunately, Uncle Karu doesn't want to leave the Air temples. Katara: When he and your father were young, they had a lot of fun with their airbending. They were the closest of friends. *sighs* Come. You and your family must be hungry. [Later, during dinner, outside the walls of the Fortress] Alee: *walks up to Korra with a plate of food* Hey, Avatar. Korra: *sitting next to her Polar Dog, Naga* Thanks. *She takes the plate from him* I'm so mad, you know. I've mastered the other elements with flawless skills, and yet they think I'm not ready. Alee: Well, think of it like this. Life is never going to go the way you want all the time. So we have to wait sometimes and only then will we be ready. Korra: *she smiles after she ponders his words* I hear what you're saying! We should leave on our own terms and then get Tenzin to train me! Alee: *gives her a stoic facial expression* Where in my words did you hear any of that?! Korra: You're a genius, Alee. I could almost kiss you! *she stands and runs back into the Fortress with Naga* Alee: *sighs as he looks down* Why did Karu choose me as his successor in this role? [The following day, Korra's room, 21:00] Alee: *holding his and Korra's bag* Okay, listen. I understand that you want to train to become a strong avatar, but is this really worth it? Korra: Come on, Alee. We've been in this place since we were young kids. We've got to both be strong and travel the world. *she jumps out of her open window* Alee: * sighs as he reluctantly follows* Katara: *watches them from her window with a smile on her face* 〔It's about time she gets set to leave. Got to Republic City, Korra, and become the best you can be.〕 [Both Korra and Alee stow away on a boat that leads them straight to Republic] Korra: *riding on the back of Naga* So this is Republic City. It's amazing. Alee: *blushing as he holds onto the waist of Korra* It is. Korra: So where do we go if we wanna go to Tenzin's place? Alee: *looks at her with a dumbfounded expression* I have no idea at all. But there's a cop coming after us… Korra: *she faces the direction of the cop and starts hightailing it out of there* Suru: *running towards them with an intense speed* Hault in the name of the law! Alee: *faces the direction of Suru* We can't! We have to meet up with… Korra: Don't tell her! Naga: *runs onto a street with several cars and manages to evade each and every one of them* Suru: *she grins* I love runners. *she uses her Earth bending to launch her towards the two as she dropkicks Naga* Naga: *falls over* Korra: *on the ground* Crap… Alee: *kips up and throws a fist towards Suru* Suru: *she handcuffs his hand and pulls Alee closer and handcuffed his other hand* Korra: *gets up and sends a large hunk of ice towards Suru* Suru: *tosses Alee at Korra to knock her out* You have the right to remain silent. [Later at the Republic City police station] Korra: *looking at the Police Chief* Okay, hello, Lin. I'm the Avatar. Suru: You will call her Captain Beifong! Lin: At ease Suru. Alee: Wait, wait, wait. You mean Beifong as in Toph… Lin: Yeah, she's my mother. Now, how the hell does Miss Avatar and her boyfriend cause 3 car accidents? No injuries, thankfully. Alee: *bushes* We aren't dating! Korra: *blushing* And secondly! We're just trying to find Tenzin. Tenzin: *enters the room* Lin. *faces the two* I hope you two are happy. Alee: I am. I'm not sure about the Avatar, though. Korra: Of course I am. Tenzin: Let's get going. Lin: *gets up and folds her arms* Keep them off the streets, or else they'll be sent to jail for life. Alee: *walks out of that room quickly* Korra: *follows after but turns back to face Lin* Lin: *signals that she has her eyes on Korra* Korra: *does the same but with more attitude in her face* Suru: 〔The hell?〕
