As Cody does some fishing, he wonders where in the six seas he is.
'The weather seems a bit cold, but that doesn't really tell me much. I guess I could look for a island, a ship, or at least a living creature to know where I am' says Cody to himself.
As he catches 12 fish to cook for lunch/dinner he then see's something off of the Distance.
'Is that a boat?' Asked Cody confused.
Not thinking much he sets sail to the area where a boat is located.
As he gets closer, he spots a young woman who seems out of it.
'Um, are you alright ma'am??' Asked Cody.
'Are you. Real, or just an illusion?' Asked the woman.
'I'm very much real' said Cody.
'Do you have any food?' She asks looking hungry.
'Sure' said Cody.
'Thanks, you can have my treasure, it's all I have left' said the woman.
She pointed to a big chest near by.
'Does it have gold in it?' Asked Cody.
'Of course, it's all there, worth 30,000 berries' she says.
'Good enough for me' said Cody walking off his boat and onto the woman's boat.
He kneeled down and began to open it. To his surprise, it really was gold.
'Wow, that's amazing. How'd you-' said Cody when he looked back…
Only to find that the woman was trying to steal his boat with the fish onboard.
'Damn it, where is the things to row it?!' Asked the woman upset.
'It's going to take more than that to steal from me miss' said Cody as he walked back to his boat along with the chest full of gold.
Just like that, he started moving the boat with his mind.
'How the actual hell is this possible??' She asks in complete surprise.
'It only works for me' says Cody with a prideful smile.
'Who the hell are you kid?' Asked the woman a bit fearful now.
'Name's Cody, Benjamin D Cody' he says.
'That's a strange name' she says rudely.
'That's debatable. So who are you?' Asked Cody.
'I'm Varla. I'm a thief that steals from people to make a living' said Varla.
'So your, just a thief' said Cody.
'Yeah, why?' Asked Varla confused.
'You ever thought of piracy until now?' Asked Cody.
'Never gonna happen kid' said Varla a bit offended by the idea.
'Just saying, that's all' said Cody.
'You a pirate yourself?' Asked Varla looking at Cody up and down.
'I honestly don't know yet' said Cody.
'What you talking about??' Asked Varla confused.
'I'm not sure where in the world I am right now' said Cody.
'Last I checked. This is still the north blue' said Varla.
'Ah, so I'm, "still" in the north blue, good to know' said Cody.
'How could you not know?' Asked Varla.
'I'm a bit lost in this ocean' said Cody.
'Lost huh?, well if your not a pirate, I guess we could work something out' said Varla.
'Name your price?' Asked Cody.
'I get 80 percent of the cut' said Varla.
'Deal, I guess we are partners in crime huh?' Asked Cody mostly to himself.
'(Never heard of this person until now. I guess I should be on guard for now)' thought Cody.
'Look, an island. Guess we'll be seeing if we can sell this gold to a great price' said Varla pointing to a island far away.
'We should be prepared in case it's dangerous' said Cody putting his hands into the gold.
'The hell you think your-' asked Varla before seeing most of the gold transform into golden gauntlets.
'The fuck?!' asked Varla in shock.
'Devil fruit' says Cody smiles sheepishly.
'I can see that, which is this?' Asked Varla.
'The gold gold fruit' said Cody.
'You can manipulate gold then??' Asked Varla surprised by this.
'Yep' said Cody with pride.
Hearing this, Varla's eyes turned into berrie symbols.
'We could be rich beyond imagination' said Varla.
'Seems like it' said Cody.
'(If she's truly interested in partnership, I guess I could be a thief to, but I feel like piracy is the real me in this world)' thought Cody.
As they set sail, unknown to them, they'd be walking into something mind blowing.
