After bestowing one of his Shadow Cores upon her and granting her freedom, Saint became a true Shadow Creature. Proof of this is the [Shadow Sworn] attribute, which grants her his own abilities.
As an Ascendant and a Shadow, Saint naturally possesses abilities such as [Shadow Manipulation] and [Shadow Strike], which allow her to control shadows, make them tangible, move between them, and strike the shadows of others. She also possesses her own shadow sense.
With her transformation, [Spark of Divinity] also evolved into [Ember of Divinity]. Furthermore, Saint's [Stalwart] attribute gained immunity to Shadow attacks.
Funfacts:
—The difference between [Shadow Sworn] and [Child of Shadows] is that the former does not grant her the same level of authority over time as the latter, implying that Saint's ability to control shadows will always be inferior to Sunny's.
—After freeing her, Sunny can still recall Saint to the dark recesses of his Soul Sea and empower her by feeding her with Memories and all the other benefits she possesses as his shadow.
—Sunny isn't entirely sure about his new relationship with Saint; he often feels guilty and awkward about the intensity of their strange, newfound romance. Nevertheless, the two continue to train and fight side by side without pause. Saint is happier now that she experiences this sweet new emotion toward him, and deep down, Sunny is too.
—All the new Memories he wove over the past few weeks, as well as those he purchased from Aiko and Steve—with the only exception of [Mantle of the Underworld]—were used to turn Saint into an Ascendant.
—Reading Saint's new description, Sunny became deeply irritated, finding the repeated use of the epithet "treacherous" to describe him truly offensive and annoyingly redundant. The Nightmare Spell had done it on purpose, by the way.
