Lola laughed and swung casually as if she was swatting a fly. Temur hadn't changed his weapon from a shield, and he took it head-on. He flinched and grunted as he was sent flying back, his hand flaring with pain and his back slamming into the wall.
But none of it stung like his pride. "Seems I have underestimated your strength."
But it wasn't only her strength, because she was suddenly in front of him with her weapon drawn back. "Look at me!"
She brought it down, hammering like she was driving a stubborn nail. Bang! "Huh?" She frowned, clearly expecting the crushing sound of bones breaking, but instead it sounded like metal hitting metal.
Then suddenly, she jumped back. Confusion and surprise spread across her face as all attention locked onto her opponent. She wasn't grinning anymore.
Because what she thought was a cub was a tiger. "What is that?" The aura pressure she felt, it was strong.
