Chapter 12 - Sense Of Deja vu

Chapter 12

Star High College

Hey everyone, listen, one of the student in the hall said gaining the whole hall's attention.

"The queens are in London! They arrived just this morning," the student exclaimed.

"Really? Another student asked, intrigued.

"Yeah, and rumor has it they're searching for their three girls," Emory explained.

Hazel and Zinnia exchanged curious glances.

"Wait, who are the queens?" Zinnia asked.

"Apparently, they're from New York – the richest family there," Emory continued. "I heard they're looking for their three kids, all girls."

Zinnia's eyes widened. "What happened?"

"From what I know, the girls insisted on vacationing in London. They got into an accident on their way to their suite... 15 years ago," Emory added somberly.

Hazel shifted uncomfortably as her friends stared at her. "Wow, you look a lot like one of the queens and your surname is also Queen's of I remember correctly," Emory said, her voice laced with excitement.

Hazel rolled her eyes. "Guys, stop. I have a mom, okay? Don't say that.

But Emory persisted, "Hazel, you bear a striking resemblance with Nina Queen's"

"Coincidence," Hazel cut in, showing them her mom's picture. "See? This is my mum."

The friends exchanged skeptical glances, but Hazel's firm tone ended the conversation. "Let's head home," she said, packing her books.

School's compound

"School's out! We should probably head home. My driver's here," Emory said, getting into her car.

As Emory's car sped off, Hazel said, "I should head home too."

"Wait, let's walk home together," Zinnia said, falling into step with Hazel.

"Hey, Hazel, where are you headed?" Zinnia asked.

"I'm going to get another motorbike. Aren't you supposed to be at your part-time job today?" Hazel replied.

"I asked for a leave to rest," Zinnia said.

"Okay, after I buy what I need. Want to come shopping with me?"Hazel asked.

"Sure, no problem," Zinnia agreed.

Bike shop

Here's a rewritten version with corrected English and a natural flow:

Good afternoon! What bike would you like to get? the attendant asked.

I'd like a bike with a touch of white, and I want a very fast one, Hazel replied.

Okay, this way, ma'am, the attendant said, leading them to where the bikes were displayed. Wow, so many bikes to choose from!

Hazel, do you know how to ride a bike? Hazel asked.

Yeah, I do, she replied.

Would you like one? Hazel asked.

No, thanks, Hazel said. Why? I won't ask for anything in return, she added with a smile.

No, I'm okay. It's like I'm collecting something from a younger sister, Hazel said.

So, you can't collect something from your own younger sister? Hazel asked, raising an eyebrow.

No, that's not what I meant, Zinnia clarified. I mean, I'm the one who's supposed to gift you something, not the other way around. Since you're like a little sister to me, collect it as an elder sister collecting a gift from her little sis. Since you can ride, Hazel added.

Okay, you win! I'll choose this one, Zinnia said, pointing at a black bike with a touch of white.

Hure, thanks! Big sis! Hazel cheered, sounding like a little kid.

Zinnia felt a strange sense of déjà vu, like she'd heard something similar in her past life, but she couldn't quite place it, which gave her a splitting headache.

Then give us two of these, Hazel said, pointing at the bike she'd chosen. But mine should be red with a touch of white, she added.

Okay, ma'am, the attendant replied.

Soon, Hazel paid for the bikes and left the shop, assisted by the staff as they wheeled the bikes outside.

Hazel, we just spent four million on these two motorbikes, Hazel asked, checking the receipts.

Yeah, Hazel replied nonchalantly.

Where did you get the card? The name on this receipt says Kenzie Torrence, Zinnia asked.

Oh, he gave me his card for another bike. Enough of the questions! How about we take these babies for a ride? Hazel said, getting on the motorbike as soon as she wore her helmet.

Okay, but don't blame me if I leave you behind, Zinnia said, getting on her own bike.

With a roar, the two sped off on their motorbike.

Big star shopping mall

After cruising around the city on her bottle bike, Hazel got a call from Hailey, asking her to meet at the mall. The two girls converged at the mall, and as Hazel dismounted her bike, she exclaimed, "Hey, Mom!" as she hugged Hailey warmly. "How are you, dear?" Hailey replied, hugging her back.

Just then, Zinnia appeared, looking surprised. "Hazel, did you just hug them and call her Mom? Famous model Haley, no less!"

Hazel smiled. "Hey, this is my friend Zinnia."

Haley's eyes lit up. "Hazel is this your friend? Wow, anybody who sees you two would think you're siblings."

Haley pulled Zinnia into a hug. "You can call me Mom, dear," she said with a wink, secretly plucking a strand of Zinnia's hair.

Zinnia played along, laughing. "Mom, I also want another hug!" she said, joining in on the cuddle.

Hailey seized the opportunity to pull a strand of Hazel's hair too. "Okay, now Zinia, why don't you join us?" she said, smiling.

"Yeah, that's why I'm here – Hazel asked me to join her for shopping," Zinnia replied.

Hailey grinned. "Okay, let's go! Zinia, you can pick anything you like – the bills are on me."

Zinnia hesitated. "But things are pricey here, and I'm just a student..."

Hailey chuckled. "No worries, dear. I said I'd pay."

As they entered the mall, Hazel whispered to Hailey, "Mom, don't mind her – she'll surely pick what she wants."

Haley's assistant whispered to her, "Wow, Hazel is so carefree, and Zinnia is just the opposite. They really look like siblings."

Hailey's eyes sparkled. "That reminds me – take this hair and do a DNA test for me," she said, handing over the strands of hair she'd secretly collected.

As they left the mall, exhausted, Haley said, "Wow, I'm exhausted! Zinnia, you really stressed me out today."

Zinnia laughed. "Girl, you needed a workout! I need to go home and dress."

Hazel chuckled. "You actually bought clothes for the orphans alone – if not for you, she wouldn't have bought a thing for herself."

Hailey smiled proudly. "I know, right? I'm proud of myself!"

As they piled into the car, Hailey said, "Girls, get in. Zinnia, I'll drop you off."

Zinnia smiled. "Okay, Mom. Thanks for today – I really appreciate it."

Hazel grinned. "You're welcome. Since you're my friend, there's nothing I can do for you that will make me happier."

The bodyguards drove off with the motorbike, and the trio rode away in style.
