Eliora finally turned back to him, her face still slightly red.
"You're crazy," she murmured.
Zarek didn't look offended in the slightest. He reached for the tray on the table, scooped a spoonful of the stew, then held it out toward her.
"Eat."
Eliora stared at the spoon, then at him.
"You're unbelievable."
Zarek didn't move the spoon away.
"You're hungry."
She crossed her arms.
"I said I'm not eating."
Zarek's brow lifted slightly.
"Dove."
His tone was patient, but there was still that quiet authority beneath it.
"You fainted last night."
That only made her blush again.
"And you haven't eaten since yesterday," he continued.
The spoon remained held out between them.
Eliora glared at it like it had personally offended her. Then she sighed dramatically.
"This doesn't mean I forgive you."
Zarek's lips twitched faintly.
"Eat."
Grumbling under her breath, Eliora leaned forward and finally took the spoonful.
