Synopsis
“When does a person die? When it stops breathing? When its heart stops beating?” “No. A person dies the moment they lose hope. That’s when you become an empty shell, a living doll—when you have no more expectations from the world, where there are no feelings, just emptiness.” Many people would think that immortality is a blessing. Little do they know that this is the cruelest curse someone can give you. ******** creepy smile ******** “Oh, Celea, you really think that you will ever be able to leave me?” He was caressing her face; he looked like he was crazy. “What are you talking about?” “I’m saying that you will never be able to escape me. I won’t let you go. Even if you love someone else, you are mine.” “Your hair belongs to me,” he said as he touched her hair. “Your lips belong to me,” touching her lips. “The eyes that look at me with indifference belong to me,” touching her eyes. “Your heart belongs to me.” His finger went down her neck to her heart, an action that made Celea look at where his finger was. Claus then went to her ear and whispered, “Your whole existence belongs to me, Celea.” A note: I`m reposing the story here since i can`t log in my old account and finish the story

Chapter 1 - 1

Three years pass by pretty fast, as always. I'm stuck in a capsule of time where time seems to run fast and yet remain frozen. This time, I seem to have a pretty normal family—at least for now. A normal father and a normal mother, a drama-free family with no other relatives. Still, I shouldn't let my guard down. They still have time to change completely; it wouldn't be the first family to start out normal and slowly turn crazy and toxic. I guess I'll just enjoy the peace for now.

The noises wouldn't let me sleep. It looks like this life will be over faster than expected. From the sounds coming from the living room, it seems I'll be killed by robbers. I got out of bed and calmly walked to the living room, where I found two dead bodies surrounded by a pool of blood. That horrible smell and color brought back terrible memories.

As I looked to the left, there stood a man with completely black eyes—no white to be seen—and a large scar on the right side of his face. He was definitely not human. When he looked at me, he put on an evil smirk and proudly showed me his hand, which had long black claws covered in blood. I had little to no reaction to his confident behavior. I could kill him in a matter of seconds, but what would be the point?

Seeing no reaction from me—only a bored expression—he took the initiative to speak.

"It's quite a loss, having to kill such a pretty face like yours. I'm sure you would've turned out to be a rare beauty."

He emphasized the word kill, clearly trying to provoke a reaction from me. But that reaction never came.

"Don't you want to know why I'm doing all this?" he said. "Your so-called mate wants you dead. He sent me to kill you so he can finally get the woman he loves to come back to him."

His tone was amused.

"For your boss to send you to kill a three-year-old girl, and for you to proudly accept it, I must say you're quite pathetic," I said, letting out a sarcastic laugh. "But you know what they say—you attract what you are. A coward surrounded by cowards."

He pulled out a dagger and stabbed me in the heart. I looked him dead in the eyes and smirked. For a brief moment, he lost his composure, and I saw what you might call fear in his eyes. Then I engulfed him in flames. He screamed and thrashed around before disappearing—most likely returning to his boss.

People never change. That's something you learn after a thousand years of living in so many different worlds.

I looked down at my chest. The dagger was still there, and I was bleeding—a sign that I was dying. I lay down, waiting to pass away yet again. As my eyes slowly closed, I saw a woman surrounded by a light so bright it was unbearable to look at. Then I finally closed my eyes and died.
